davieG Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 http://www.crewealex.net/page/NewsDetail/0...1744022,00.html Crewe Alexandra have been granted permission to take the Leicester City midfielder Aman Verma on trial with a view to making a long-term loan signing. The attack-minded midfielder is yet to make a first-team appearance for his hometown club - but has been a regular for the reserves since signing from Redditch United. Verma orginally went to Leicester on trial but did enough in training and two reserve outings to earn himself a one-year deal with the Championship club. Following promotion to the higher level, Nigel Pearson was quick to offer him a contract extension but he is eager for some of his younger players to go out on loan and gain first-team experience. Verma formally played for Leicester's Academy and following his release there he went to represent Bedworth and Redditch before earning a second chance with his beloved Foxes. Verma was in the stands to watch Crewe beat Birmingham City 4-1 last night and trained for the first time today.
Edmund Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Would be a great move for both parties. It will give him that valuable match experience. Much better than playing in the reserves.
Hitesh Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Hope he get a loan deal as he will benefit a great deal there!
Dr The Singh Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 He didn't look like he was going to get a look in this season, so good move for him!!
Ozwin Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Hopefully it's not gonna be a perminant thing, he's only been with us 5 minutes and I've only heard good things about him really.
Jimmy Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 stick a 24 hour recall clause in there just in case and let him go and get some league experience in League 2
Spark Fox Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Crewe are a good club to learn at so good look to him. Kee and Verma getting some good exprience. King needs to go out on loan really, aswell as Chambers who has about 3 first team appearances of any kind in 3 years. We need to know if he's any good!
gibbom Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 only send him out if he is guarenteed to get games, cnt just have him sitting on the bench at crewe otherwise no point of him being there
MPH Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 this can only be good.. i can see him making the odd appearance towards the end of the season.. injuries /suspensions ect..
Daggers Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 What would have been good was to have had a damn reserve team playing weekly in a reserve league.
Toby or not Toby Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 I didn't see this and posted it in transfer talk, apologies.
Fox92 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Lovely place to go out on loan, Crewe are a great club and a club that I like so I am happy for him. I am totally sure that he will progress and the club will look after him there.

Asha Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 On what basis? Think he means Craig King, surely. And again, a youngster that's not getting a look in that would benefit from first team football.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 On what basis? I think he's talking about Craig King
