Look at his match ratings from this season. He either scores (and aot of penalties too) or he's crap

We look like we have patterns of play and an idea how to build an attack for the first time all season. That lineup today was woeful and that is not Ruud's fault. -
It's a hard watch and obviously not all of those goals can be solely laid at JJ's feet. However it's quite clear every single side target him and he needs taking out of the side for his own sake now. You can see in his face he has zero confidence in himself right now
-
He did alright but was obviously asked to just sit alongside vestergaard and defend. Offered absolutely nothing in possession but got a few tackles in. Was also clear he was done on 70 mins, but given his lack of game time did everything we could ask

He seems to have changed shape? Mavididi stays wide left and JJ pushes on to give width on the other side. The right winger comes inside to form the box and now Kristiansen is shifting across to centre back. Previously it was Kristiansen pushing forward to play wide left -
Wouldn't be surprised if he's still carrying a knock but we've forced him back quicker than expected to cover for Mads

Wolves have an xG of 0.4. But they are 3-0 up
-
What's Andrew Neville's role at the club? Job title is Director of Football Operations and has also been at the club for decades. He was the one sat with Ruud at the Brentford game yet never gets any attention or scrutiny?
-
He's a 1 in 3 finisher but his overall game last season looked pretty poor. Can't hold the ball up, not as quick as Daka and terrible first touch

Brentford (A) Saturday 3pm - Match Thread

Pressing very very high. Soumare and Ndidi are going to be key here with half of the pitch to cover -
George Hirst scored for Ipswich yesterday. Fair play to him never thought he'd make it to the PL
-
The long term is plan is for him to keep us up this season then bin him off at the first opportunity next season when we have more cash to attract someone better
-
Thought I'd have a look at the comments under the athletic article about this, expecting all sorts of abuse. Nope pretty unanimous support from other clubs (especially forest and everton) fans for sticking it to the PL on this one. There's more negativity towards the outcome on here "Leicester played the corrupt system at their own game and won"

100% we are going to get outplayed most games before the majority of the league have far superior squads than us and we don't have the money to catch up in 1 summer. We tried overspending before to catch up and look where it got us. We got outplayed by Fulham because frankly their squad is vastly superior to ours all over the pitch.
-
1st one Fatawu didn't follow his man and left JJ 2v1. 2nd one Winks got overpowered by Iwobi.

Played 3rd most minutes for Palace last season
-
Writing a signing off before he's even signed, much like the sack Cooper threads before we'd actually played a game
-
He's not a fast 19 year old South American winger with 30 senior appearances
-
Literally every comment by a Palace fan on the Athletic article is gutted he's going and say he will be missed
-
Really hope we can build some momentum over the next couple of games and get the fanbase onboard because the way he talks and the type of person we're bringing in is giving me Big Nige vibes

Fulham v Leicester - Pre-match thread (August 24th)

Sounds like Vardy is at that Huth/Jonny Evans stage where they basically don't train all week to play on the Saturday -
Enzo taking the "I'm just the coach, anything off the training pitch is not me" approach. Aren't there now FIFA rules on the maximum number of players a club can loan out? So this stockpiling players to book a profit in the future isn't going to work if they have such a large squad they can't all be registered OR be loaned out?
-
I did think maybe we're trying to sell him the 3 year deal on 40k is worth a lot more than 10 months on 60k and we can see the free agent market is slow for experienced players. And from our perspective 6m over 3 years is a small hit to the squad amortisation. But then I always assume we have some grand masterplan and it often appears that we don't
