Watch a game, there's lots of aimless hoofing (AKA losing the ball time and time again) - even in the Champions League. There's very little pressure on the ball which is jarring as a modern viewer. There’s lots of debatable failures where you can argue the toss but fundamentally relegation was a colossal failure given the position we were in just 18 months prior.
