What a joke.

He certainly brings entertainment, I don't think many would disagree with that. I'm not sure what your second point is though, are we supposed to praise him for taking a week off from being a petulant child when something doesn't go his way?

I'm not a fan of this trend of kit releases where the bottom half they're wearing casual wear or something like this. Who the feck is wearing a football shirt with suit trousers?! It's ridiculous.
-
He's not a good defender. I never watched him under Enzo and thought he was good defensively, most teams were just too busy defending ud to exploit him/Faes. If he'd been at a bottom half champ team he wouldn't have improved them.

That's true to some extent, but I do think sometimes these things are about the mix of personalities which you can't always account for, and the overall culture. It feels like things have been rotting here for years, there's only so much any player coming in to that sort of situation can do. -
I've seen that image before and my first thought was that it was endemic of the industry and not remotely surprising. Like you say though, that no-one is in jail has probably clouded the public perception that nothing has changed, which couldn't be further from the truth. The impacts on the industry have been massively wide ranging and we're only beginning to feel them.

I think stress is a particularly interesting thing. I think many of us probably only notice it when it's acute or when we are really stressed, but maybe not so much when our stress levels are moderately high on a day to day basis because we are very accustomed to a certain level of it and there is a certain amount which is helpful. It is only when you stop and really slow down that you realise how much you are holding onto. I haven't done much yoga recently but it's the one thing that really shows you what your body is holding on to consciously and subconsciously. N.b. I say yoga, but it is the breathing part of it specifically that I am referring to, which obviously many do without the stretching/movement.

Insulation keeps heat in in winter and out in summer. I don't mean to be condescending as I'm sure you understand that, but I say that to preface that the problem with our housing stock is not that it's built to keep heat in. It is that it isn't insulated well enough full stop. So even if you aren't subjected to significant solar gains directly, you will likely still be struggling. Although frankly, buildings are not generally designed for worst case co ditions thermally anyway so extremes such as the last few days will always happen unless you live in something very well designed.

No need to apologise my friend. Writing this stuff down can be very helpful. It's good that you've got that out. Today may be a write off but remember tomorrow doesn't need to be. Acknowledge today for what it was; a bad day. We all have them. Perhaps try and think about something small to start your morning tomorrow which will set you on the right path to a more positive day.

No-one likes the return journey but it sounds like you're a bit of a grumpy bastard, Para

Horner must love being the villain, there can't seriously have been any expectation that there would be a penalty for that surely.
-
I think that's an exaggeration. Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds and York are all well connected to St Pancras/Euston in circa 2 hours. I know if you're in rural locations or much further North it granted it gets more difficult and I appreciate you're probably on about these areas moreso but it's feasible for many.

I forget, are you a contractor/developer? Is the day off going to be same day for everyone? I can see how the office based side of it might change as 1 day a week without a designer on the phone is hardly an issue. But I think on site stuff would be extremely resistant to dropping from 5 days to 4.
-
I'd really like to drop down to 4 days a week when I've managed to build a little more in the savings department, it just feels so much more balanced. I'm an architect so our industry will never properly move to a 4 day week but a few people in my practice do work a 4 day week so the option is there.

Frightening. I don't even understand what the angle is here. Also, isn't big pharma still y'know pretty, BIG? I know as an industry it isnt exactly altruistic but surely they will have something to say about how this is going. It can't be good for them.

Macron have been on the piss at Stoke...

Evidently the next season of the show will be a slapstick comedy..

Seems like made up clickbait to me, there's nothing to substantiate it. -
Bloody hell that HP badge is massive... Colourway seems a bit odd for Chelsea but that is lovely.

You'd think after the fallout that they might avoid copying the DOGE thing.. The bolded bit is a wild thing to say. Do you actually mean to suggest all Jews support their spiritual homeland wiping out the whole of Palestine in their name? Because if you do I'm sure that you are wrong. I'm certain there are many Jews and Israelis who are appalled by what Netanyahu is doing.

Certainly makes a lot of sense. If we've approached him and they've spoken about salary you can imagine that would probably satiate his supposed desire to go back to Germany. Not to mention compared to being at Wednesday, working for us on inflated wages for a board that are overly loyal to managers will be a much more cushy job for him.
-
Can't help but think Frank would be a great appointment for Spurs if given time.
-
That is according to their projections pre-tax, yes. I expect those losses include the allowable losses/deductibles too.

I do, hence the below. There is an argument that waiting an extra 6/7 weeks puts us in a worse position in terms of preparation for the season ahead, but you can't put a number on that. And in any case you at least hope that things with potential replacements and signings are going on in the background. There is a part of me that doubts whether this is what we are actually doing though. -
I don't think Saudi will have a massive difference to anything. China tried doing a similar thing for a few years didn't they, Oscar going somewhere for similar money is one that springs to mind. I know that they're different contexts but I don't think there will be an exodus of talent over there or that it will really impact fees/wages over here.
