You won’t be so smug when Rohl is announced as our new DOF
-
I really don’t want him to go to birmingham. The fact he knows Davies makes that rumour ring a little too true for my liking

As I’ve said, just highlights he was the best of our backline but seems to be the one to take the most heat he’s shite, I don’t deny that -

Stats obviously don’t cover the moments he runs around like a headless chicken. I was just trying to point out that he can defend just has consistent brain farts -

He screws up consistently, I’m not saying he’s someone we should keep. But he does have the ability to do it, just not the mentality. If he ever managed to play with his head he’d be a good player but that’s my opinion and I accept that I’ll be in minority on that. -

For those that don’t follow fpl, for the contribution points, you get 2 for every game that a player makes over 10 blocks, interceptions or tackles. so faes did that in 17 games which is tied for 5th best in the league. Doesn’t mean he’s great just shows that he is doing the fundamentals of defending most of the time, which many on here state he can’t do *obviously it’s more impressive if you’re doing that for a side who actually keep clean sheets and aren’t getting nailed every week but shows he did better than the rest of our backline -

The notion that faes can’t defend, is one of our worst ever defenders etc is clearly a nonsense. His stats for actual defending are always very good. In the top 5 for the core elements here again. There are seriously far worse situations than him being here at the start of the season. Coady, vesty, faes. That’s the order i want them out the door in personally -
Think you’re thinking release clause. The OP means when you get future profit percentage from a sale. You need to have all the cards when selling really, or knowingly realise you’re cashing in an asset earlier than you should. I don’t think we’ve had many that weve missed out on because we have mostly sold players at their peak value. Villa recently have moved to sell on clauses as they’ve been selling young prospects at good fees that ordinarily without psr they’d probably have kept. An example would be if we let mcateer go because of psr but felt that he could eventually increase in value. I’d rather we didn’t focus on these clauses as it’s essentially an admission that you don’t believe you should be selling to begin with

This is how he treats his team mates as a captain as well
-
He’s a bad egg. He’s technically limited. He’s old. we should steer well clear. laughable that we have fans that would happily let ayew leave for free but would sign windass
-
Not a good look for him. If you feel as strongly as him and want to be public about it. Do the decent thing and walk away. Staying at broke club just to secure money for yourself is just a bit dirty imo if you don’t intend to do the job. If you want to do that, then you have to sit back and let your agent do the talking. publicly dragging your club then expecting you can walk back in is Brendan levels. Glad we missed out really. He should have quit towards the end of last season and if he had, he’d have got a great job at the start of summer Imo

Think he plays anywhere down the middle… even still… bilal replacement. Bargain bin, championship experience… hope not but just got a feeling
-
I have a nasty feeling we sign Josh winds now he’s free
-
Burnley and Sheffield u circling, would be a huge signing for us.
-
We’re getting kramaric back as part of the deal
-
Why do talk sport love wilf so much?
-
I’d be trying desperately to add a sell on clause to any deal. If things go well under potter you can bet anything Chelsea will pay mega bucks for him next season

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Lambert09 replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
The problem with Bilal, is that I have a niggling feeling that he’s one of those players that always looks good but won’t necessarily get good numbers. I think he may be the number 10 equivalent of someone like Gray. I hope I’m wrong but his delivery and shooting seems too inconsistent, I think he lacks either the quality or composure. It feels harsh but I just worry that if he stayed in the championship he doesn’t really rinse it and nobody would consider him, he’d fall into ghezzal territory of someone with talent but not able to apply it consistently enough. one example would be someone like Enzo le fee, great player, everyone expected him to rinse the championship but he didn’t really deliver any numbers, had sunderland not been promoted he’d be considered a flop and his value would have suffered. He still looks good when you watch him, but it’s output that gains you value. As a fan I’d obviously love for him to stay and prove me wrong but financially, I just think we could do with him leaving while the stock is high. Too many of our assets have been allowed do depreciate -

Bottom line with a defender is the number 1 thing you need is consistency. You don’t need to be the player that stands out on the pitch, you just need to do the simple things right, with someone heroics thrown in. Faes is quality for 70% of a game, often more… but consistently makes honking mistakes. We would just all rather have someone with less ability but more consistent. I’m looking forward to a potential Nelson & Souttar pairing later in the season -
If you had this lad as a striker and just got him practicing heading everyday, would he actually be stoppable😆 for context, haaland is 6 ft 5
-
If we were to sell him I’d hope we could get someone like Mepham in. If we could make a small net game on that, it could be very good business
-
Derby having more cash for a striker than us stings

Marti Cifuentes - Style of Play, Tactics and Analysis
Lambert09 replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Looking back at their results last year there’s something that stands out for me. His QPR team who spent in the bottom 5 of teams, took points off of all 3 promoted sides (as well as sheffied u) That is genuine evidence that he’s tactically good because if you’re able to pick up points off of teams that much better than you, then the only way to achieve that is typically tactically. -
Got a really good feeling about this bloke. Just seems like someone who will get the most out of a squad. What’s a dampener for me is that with someone like this, a few extra weeks of planning and on the training ground could have made a huge impact… however, luckily for us the majority of the squad played under Enzo and the shift of tactics won’t be so dramatic. Just somebody get this man a striker.

Dortmund are an intelligent club, there’s no way they’d offer him a deal until he was 33. Doesn’t make any sense
