I liked the Thomas that played a few games at the end of last season and looked to have developed a mean streak and toughened up. Can we have him back instead of the soft lad that’s currently playing? The other one looked genuinely promising.

And that’s why I’d pick a Faes over Okoli- he has more pace, energy and is better on the ball. Despite the rubbish the anti-Faes brigade in here spout, he’s still our best central defender.

The Winks thing beggars belief. If he wasn’t in the squad, I can see how some code of conduct type thing is at play. But the fact he’s with the squad, in the changing room and sat on the bench makes no sense to then pick Skipp ahead of him. Skipp offers nothing. He looks lost, has zero influence or impact. I defy anyone to tell me what he adds to our team.

I don’t care if Winks shagged Vesty’s dog on Top’s desk in front of the Buddhist monks…… he still starts ahead of Skipp. Even with a broken feckin’ leg.

That’s a very good window. Amazing, isn’t it? We got a manager in, after all. We got a kit, after all. We got some players out, after all. We got some players in, after all. And the universe didn’t actually end because we hadn’t done it before July was out. Who’d have guessed that? 😏
