The idea that “Seagrave” is responsible for fitness levels being higher or lower is absolute nonsense. It’s down to fitness coaches and leadership managing the load. Good coaches and management teams can do that anywhere.

We clearly lack leadership, but what alarms me more is the lack of soldiers. We just don’t seem to have players who go into a 50-50 and win. Or into an aerial duel and win. Or into a foot race and win. There’s just zero evidence of athleticism anywhere on the field.

Very cautious first half - don’t think he passed to anyone apart from Vesty. Absolutely grew into it second half, when he was excellent.

Probably did more good things in 90 minutes than he has in a season + half out together. Fabulous performance today.

I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with any of that. The football we play, currently, is abject. Marti gets an out card by virtue of us not having a forward worthy of starting. But what he is getting back - either due to his strategy or the personnel - is frankly abysmal. Personally, I’m “Marti out” as I don’t think he has it in him to turn this around. If today is a genuine 3-5-2, then I think this is the last roll of his dice. 😞
