Until last weekend West Ham were leaving Ward-Prowse out of their squad (he was on the bench at the weekend due to a shortage of numbers) - how about proposing a loan swap deal? Not saying Winks is PL quality but it’s in his precious London , we’d get a similar player that we can actually use

For those who are struggling with translation, recalling my GCSE French (E grade) I can confirm it says nothing about directions to the swimming pool or buying a kilo of pears from the market and it ends up saying in Leicester there will be celebration party's organised by someone called Les. I think .

I’m not angry, I’m disappointed - but with whom?

Mavididi. At the start of the season with our CF options being what they are I declared my bet for top scorer this season would be Mavididi with 12-14 goals from out wide, remembering him looking a regular goal threat last time in this league. I hadn’t allowed for James’ huge contribution but I’d still be way off the mark with Mavididi. When he fancies it he can have opponents on toast but too often this and last season he’s just lukewarm making up the numbers. Starting to think he’d be a better no.10 than Reid, with Monga on the left or the two alternating during games. -

Come on, hasn’t anyone spotted Solskjaer in Morrisons, Sam Allardyce in Greggs or David Pleat in Highfields yet? -
This is a football thread, not ‘oche !

One great moment - When Monga went round his full back through skill and the angle of his running more than pace and put a cross across the 6 yard box, classic wing play just not read by his team mates. One WTF moment - after more tedious chuckle brothers passing Vestergaard fizzed a decent long ball up to Ayew getting us 20 yards further up the pitch. Without a look around at his options Ayew drilled it straight back, past Vestergaard to Okoli meaning we’d lost 10 yards of territory rather than gained anything. Just cowardly not wanting the ball, usually in that situation he’d dig his heels in, wait for support and at least draw a foul, yesterday he just didn’t fancy it,

Realistic Managerial Replacements

local lad, already employed by the club, popular with the family stand, used to feeding off scraps, waited patiently for his chance…. -

Just seen the table and I factored in our potential / likely minus nine. Gut feeling, we’ll be down. Sheff Weds gone, Portsmouth in there but Oxford proved they have more fight and bottle than us (not that they’ll get such easy 3 points every week). Then Blackburn, well we saw them against us, forget our current points per game average being higher than those clubs, we’re on a downward trajectory getting worse by the day, no leaders, no fight, I know who I’d fancy in a dogfight at the bottom. If Marti thinks pressure was on yesterday try staring up to see we’re beneath the relegation safety zone, they’ll need portaloos on the touchline!

How many points for hitting the bulls**tters eyes? -
The boos following the first goal weren’t just about going a goal down. They came from a broader narrative of following the likes of the early goal vs Sheff Utd at home, the whole Coventry 2nd half, the whole Wrexham game, the talk in between from manager and players, which proves to be just that, talk, the overall situation, the season….don’t make it sound like the crowd were being unreasonably harsh and picky about conceding a single soft goal, it is SO much bigger than that. And it was also so inevitable, like a bad joke, it’s become what this team does.
-
Yes Marti, I do have expectations. Expectations that the team will come out and be organised, well drilled, focused, will all want the ball, will move to give team mates passing options, will be brave, show leadership and learn from their mistakes. Also a general expectation that they will try to work to get the ball closer to the oppositions goal than our own.

Great, we needed Pep Guardiola and we employed Alan Titchmarsh

I don’t usually challenge strangers but today I calmly and politely asked “Why are you clapping? What are you applauding? What have you seen that’s worthy of applause?” They couldn’t answer. “Some semi-famous people are clapping you for attending and you feel obliged to clap back? Are you a seal? Are you a mutton headed zombie?” They didn’t answer. I think Page & Monga deserve a “well tried” but ffs for the others?

ANOTHER Leeds Gray? Which one’s this, Gray the younger, Gray the even younger, Gray the glint in the milkman’s eye? Yet another match commentary will be turned into an episode of “who do you think you are” as the family tree is dissected and “ooh look in the crowd there’s a Gray….and another….and another…” Breed like rabbits the Grays. -
Struggling Oxford have a new signing, Korean Jin-Woo Jeon, first first game in this country guaranteed-damn-teed to be first scorer. Just the tonic they need! I’m betting a fiver anyway, would be woode not to.

I heard that a judge from the local court has been giving them out for minor offences instead of fines or community service. On successful appeal the criminal got 3 weeks in jail instead.
