I don’t particular hate them way more than the average team, but I would say I actively dislike them, rather than feeling neutral like I do most of our opponents. As for why, I think it’s pretty much exclusively down to the title winning season. Their fans (and even players) perfectly summarised the arrogance of each and every one of the “top 6”. It was as if the title was rightfully theirs because of the name they had, and little old Leicester had no right beating them to it. Their attitude towards us was disgusting and I absolutely loved it when they whimpered away finishing 3rd.

Nah I’m not having this Spurs love-in in this thread. I hate them. Winning a handful of things before most of us were born doesn’t make them anything special. Are you all happy to admit that Nottingham forest are better than us because they won a European cup centuries ago? 7-4 to us with 6 of those goals coming in the last 5 minutes. Tête hat trick, Danny Ward with 2 own goals, Harry Kane crying.

Fantastic news that Ricardo is back. Although, I think we may have to calm our expectations a bit. He wasn’t great after he came back from his last long term injury so I doubt we’ll be getting anything near the player he used to be. It’ll be very handy to just have another option though.

Ward Castagne Faes Souttar Kristiansen Ndidi Tielemans Tete Maddison Barnes Daka That excites me in ways it shouldn’t.

I’m very surprised so many people are OK with this. He’s everything that’s been wrong with our transfers over the past few years and one of the main reasons we’re in mess we’re in. He’s another Perez. He doesn’t improve our starting 11, he has no resale value and he’s way over priced. The signings of Kristiansen and presumably Tete show that we are moving in the right direction, but this is baffling.

I’m very much a glass half empty kind of guy. I’ve never heard of him before this thread and there’s no guarantee he’ll be a success. Having said that, after only reading the reactions from people on here, I am looking at potential Europa conference league dates for next season for when he obviously fires us to 7th place.

I was, but far too young to understand it all! In my post, I was more meaning Tops definition of “sustainability” which seems to just mean that he doesn’t have to do anything. No money, no investment, let the board run the club whilst he sits back and takes the credit for what was realistically his dads work. It feels incredibly harsh to say that, but given the state of the club at the minute, it isn’t really untrue.
-
He’s bringing more coconuts with him so the club can hand them out after a resounding 4-0 loss to Brighton.
-
And that’s why we need at least 3 new signings ASAP.
-
It would, but remember, Top has told us all that we’re supposed to be a “sustainable” club, that’s the goal. Im not sure how the fans have been tricked into thinking a sustainable club is a good one. It’s an excuse for Top to put no money into the club so he can get free King Power advertising and maybe a little bit of a bail out for them every now and then. Sustainability for us fans means complete mediocrity. We’ll never compete without investment, it’s as simple as that. He needs to sell or invest, neither of which he seems interested in doing.
-
He’s talking about money again, he’s obsessed with bringing up how little we have to spend compared to the other teams. Oh my god, we’ve got the new Sean Dyche
-
I think we’ll be ok if we get a few players in this transfer window. Im hopeful that’ll give the squad the refresh it needs to pick up some points we otherwise wouldn’t have. If not, we’re going to become a case study for why you can’t stand still in the premier league. There’s been absolutely no action from the board or top for well over a year now, it’s baffling.
-
We’re up for sale, aren’t we? Top has been absent for over a year dealing with his dodgy King Power affairs and nobody has been running the club. No investment in players, no investment in this ground expansion that’s supposed to have been well underway and no questions asked of Brendan, the players or the medical team. We’ve seemingly been abandoned and left to rot.

Is anyone actually working at the club at the minute? It feels like the players and Brendan turn up to training, run around for a few hours and leave. There’s been no transfers, no medical team working on players, the ground expansion has gone quiet, there’s no one questioning the manager and making big decisions etc. I assume the groundsmen are working because the grass doesn’t seem to be overgrown but is anything else happening? Do John Rudkin and Susan Whelan still work for the club? King powers clearly got something dodgy going on so Top’s attention is elsewhere. A potato could have been in charge of Leicester City over the past year or so and the results would have been the same as they are now. It’s baffling. We’re in the Championship next season. If not, the season after. -
I attribute a lot of it to our play style. We’re not exactly exciting to watch are we? It’s hard to get into it and stand up and scream and shout when you’re watching Daniel Amartey pass to Wout Faes, who passes to Amartey, who passes back to faes, who passes to Danny Ward, who passes to Luke Thomas… who passes back to Danny Ward for a possession losing long range kick. It’s of course an over simplification, but you can’t really blame the majority of people.
-
I feel like he’s probably got a knee injury that during the regular season would keep him out for a week or two. Because it’s the World Cup though, he’s pretending it’s fine and he’ll try and play anyway (if GS gives him any minutes). My only worry is if he aggravates it and ends up out for a while when he returns.
-
Well it’s hardly surprising to see that actually, most people were always Rodgers in all along! (Ignoring the polls where a huge majority said they weren’t) We’ve won a few games, fantastic. He still bottled top 4 twice, insulted the fans, insulted the owners, blamed everyone else but himself and has dragged a squad that was competing for Europe into lower/mid table mediocrity. Oh and bottled Europe as well actually in that time. My stance has been the same for well over a year. A few wins won’t change that.
-
Worst possible result. Not bad enough for Top to sack Brendan, not good enough to get us anywhere.
-
That’s the question we’d all like to know the answer to!
-
He doesn’t care anymore. He’s the head of the company that runs the club and so has become the “face” but that’s about it. I highly doubt he has much to do with the running of the club at all. He won’t have a clue what goes on day-to-day. His attitude will be “leave it to the board”. Whether he takes an interest again or not is yet to be seen but if he doesn’t, then he must sell.
-
It’s looking very likely we’re going down. Does anyone have an idea of how this would affect us financially? How much trouble would we actually be in? it’s obviously going to be very bad for us but I’m not really sure just how bad it would be.
-
He’s not fit to run the club. It’s incredibly sad because he hasn’t done it maliciously or for financial gain, he simply does not have the ability to run a football club. He’s ruining his fathers legacy and it’s embarrassing to watch. I genuinely feel sorry for him.
-
If Brendan is still here then get the chants, boos, banners going etc right from the start. If top hasn’t got the balls to sack him then the fans need to force his hand. We can’t just sit back and “get behind the team” when Villa hammer in their fourth goal.
-
Why is he still in charge of the team?
-
I’m just so angry with everything at the club now from top to bottom. Top himself puts out some wishy washy statement about how he cares for the club whilst he watches it burn to the ground around him. He’s in way over his head. We’re horribly, horribly run. The finances are a mess, the transfer window was one huge mess, I can’t even buy a ticket to a game because the ticketing system is a shambles. The ticket office themselves are a shambles. The club shop is a shambles. Whenever I do get to a game I can’t even get a beer or that sausage roll that I’ve wanted for ages because of the stupid way it’s organised. On the pitch, we’ve got a manager stinking the place out because he’s 18 months past his use-by date. The squad has stagnated. We’ve got a load of millionaires who literally couldn’t give a toss about the club or even their careers sat on the bench or in the stands every game laughing all the way to the bank as they pick up their huge pay packet we’ve given them. We’ve got players who don’t even want to be here and are just hanging around waiting to move on. We’re going to get relegated. It’s not a certainty but it’s more likely to happen than not. We’ve gone from questioning whether we can disrupt the top 6 to being battered around by Brighton for a laugh. Everything about the club is pathetic and nobody is taking action. My rant is now over.
