What a great player he was. A real club legend.

Oh I ****ing love him. Backed himself by staying and not joining another team, stood by whilst he wasn’t starting games every week and as soon as he got his chance he’s taken it. So pleased for him.

Europa Conference League Draw & General Chat
Walkerfox replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was dismissive of this at first, partly because I was so angry at whimpering out of the Europa league yet again, but now I’ve come to realise it may be our best chance of European football next season, something I think is incredibly important if we want to keep pushing on as a club. What is more likely? We win this by playing a few games beating teams that are way below the level we should be at, OR we finish 6th in the league? I know it becomes redundant if we face spurs or someone like Roma straight away but in a one off game I still think it’s more likely we win this. -

That’s true. It would be amazing if that were the case. I still don’t think those two coming back though will suddenly make us good again. We aren’t going from middle to lower league team to top 6 team again just because two players return from injury. -

I’ve been a fan since around 2003. I don’t really see the relevance though. Just because I’ve seen us be useless in the past (really, really useless in fact!) doesn’t mean that I can just shrug off when we’re doing bad now. I think it’s a big stretch pinning all your hopes on us being good again on injuries and injuries alone. Both JJ and Wes will take a long time to get back to their best and even then that’s only two players. Youri has only been gone a few games and we weren’t spectacular when he was fit. Same with Ricardo. I obviously hope your right but I just don’t see it as that simple. -

You sound very confident that he’ll turn it around but what are you basing it on? I’m the exact opposite in that I think he should go because I don’t believe he can turn it around. I think the fact that we’re facing the same issues game after game shows that there’s no apparent willingness to change anything and this has been going since the latter half of last season… a long time! I’m interested to hear the other half of the argument because I just can’t see it at the moment. -
Brendan OUT Its sad because he’s done so well with us but he’s just become stale. Nothing will work and he won’t turn it around

Can someone explain to me what he actually does? What have people seen that’s impressed them? I’m not a footballing genius at all so from my rather simple viewpoint he doesn’t appear to attack, he doesn’t defend, he doesn’t slot balls through to the forwards, he just seems to pass the ball sideways whenever the ball comes his way and that’s it. Like he’s there to make up the numbers? I want him to do well, but I’m not sure what he actually does that he can do well in

Stream is interesting for this. Just having to guess which white pixel is the ball and which white pixel is a player.

Buzzing to go to this one. I only get to go to a couple of games a year and this happens to be one of them. Oh, by the way, I haven’t seen us score in-person for 4 years. I am so sorry. -
I think this season could be quite interesting for us. We’ve become used to looking back and being chased by teams. We haven’t really been the ones doing the chasing since perhaps the great escape season. if we get to say 2/3 of the season in and we’re in 10th with a top 6/7 finish still on the cards then it may liven us up a bit.

I’m convinced he’ll be done before he turns 28. His hip is a chronic issue, it won’t go away and it’s clearly stopping him from fulfilling any potential he has. It can be managed to prolong his career but I just don’t think it’ll allow him to play sport at such a high level for more than a few years. I think he knows this and the cynic in me thinks that his elaborate interviews that gain social media attention are him trying to get a TV gig in a few years time for when he can’t play anymore

2020/21 - The Run In and Top 4 chances - an Ongoing Analysis
Walkerfox replied to Les-TA-Jon's topic in Leicester City Forum
I hope the players don’t have the same attitude as some on here. seems to be a sense of well we’ve won the FA cup so doesn’t really matter about getting CL. Great season. we’ve won the FA cup so we should absolutely be getting CL football. we CAN do it because we’ve proven we can beat anyone. It should be used to spur us on for the last two games not just throw the towel in and call it a good season no matter what happens. -
Let me point this out to the people saying that what they have done isn’t bad. it’s not a case of breaking lockdown rules and if you agree with them or not. That doesn’t matter. They will have known what the club rules are. They will Have known that if they are caught breaking them, they will be unable to play. They have decided that this doesn’t matter, and have gone to a party anyway. Therefore, the party was more important to them than playing against WH and potentially solidifying a top 4 place. That’s not how elite athletes should think.
-
“You won’t remember a top 4 finish” is one argument. No, but you’ll remember the champions league campaign it brings. That to me is the ultimate goal. I want to witness that again! If it meant giving up on winning the FA cup then so be it. That’s my opinion on it. Having said that, it’s obviously not one or the other. Good conversation topic though.

Like everyone I’m worried about us losing Vardy. Without him and particularly like today without Ndidi as well we are a very average side who would be nowhere near the top 4 or probably even the top 6. ive got it in my head that this is his last season as our starting striker and I don’t think I’m being too pessimistic in predicting that. He’s slowed down, he’s picking up little injuries here and there, he can’t play a full 90 minutes and then another full 90 2 or 3 days later. He can be managed and I think he’ll still be with us a few more years but I think we now need to accept that he’s not going to be our main guy anymore. We have a very important transfer window coming up this summer. We need a striker. Whoever comes In won’t be as good as Vardy, but we can only hope that the whole team steps up and we can continue this growth that we’ve seen over the past few years. For now, we need to get through this season, compete for everything we possible can by using Vardy and then hopefully we can be in a fantastic position for next season. Keep the faith lads!

Theres a very vague main storyline that has you finding the overseer of the vault you just left. You find notes and stuff that guide you through it but there are no NPCs to interact with or anything. It's mostly just loads of side quests that you do with your friends to be honest. You can work together to get a nuke though and thats sort of another quest. It's an interesting and completely different concept from previous fallout games, great for the short term but like I said, not sure how i'll feel in a few months.

Anyone play the beta the other night? Got two more slots coming up on Saturday and Sunday. I had an incredible amount of fun playing with some friends and exploring. I am however worried about the longevity of the game i.e once i've explored most places, will i really want to go there again considering most locations are just empty.

This isn’t puels fault. Just look at the players we have. They’re strolling around, running into each other, they couldn’t give a sh*t what happens. This is on them. They don’t care

Met a few players over the years but nicest was definitely Mahrez. I took my brother who has downs syndrome to meet a few players after we'd been in hospitality for his 18th birthday and a lot simply smiled and had a picture which is fine and what I expected. Mahrez however came straight to him, asked him how he was, chatted to him about the game, gave him a big hug when he found out it was his birthday. Probably the happiest i've seen my brother and I'll always love Riyadh for it. Met Juan Mata at some kind of trading card event at a Tesco in Salford. Was very quiet but also polite and was happy to have a picture. Outside of football, Calvin Harris is one of the nicest people i've ever met. Was a few years ago so he wasn't as huge as he is now but was obviously aware of how starstruck I was and tried to talk to me. He was already late on stage too but stopped for a picture and a chat. I mostly just laughed and stared at him though. Also met the rapper Example who was a tw*t.
