  1. Nice that we seem to be finding actual talent again
  2. Did anyone else get the impression that Enzo didn’t seem happy after the Albrighton-Vardy goal? It was a minute or so after but in the clip he almost looked angry. Perhaps he’d already celebrated and was pondering the next move. Hope it wasn’t a Brendan/waterbottle moment. It was a very “old style Leicester” goal.
  3. As a wise man once said “Football is a game of two halves”. Massive second half improvement driven as much by a change of attitude as a change of personnel in my opinion. Eventually a comfortable win.
  4. We look predictably crap. STOL’s keeping us in it.
  5. Good luck to him. Hope he does well.
  6. Disappointing be on the back foot for the final 20 mins and concede yet again in the last few mins to throw away points. Perhaps some mitigation with a reduced squad.
  7. Reckon we’re doing pretty well, especially considering the absences
  8. Can you remind me?
  9. Probably from us
  10. Just about to post an anteater reference but see it’s already been done. Thought I’d spotted a gap in the market.
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/jan/13/abuse-of-unaccountable-power-at-wicked-heart-of-post-office-scandal This is a similar story to what happened in Australia with RoboDebt where innocent welfare claimants received demands to repay money and several committed suicide due to a rogue computer system and authorities in denial. Imagine how much worse this sort of thing is going to be with AI. Bound to be many more autonomous systems which people will find very difficult to hold to account in the event of problems. Must watch the TV dramatisation.
  12. We’ve got form for ballsing up the second half of seasons
  13. Well, that’s ruined my weekend
  14. Fortunately I didn’t have to do too much, so nowhere near what you’ve done. I checked the radius of the strings and it seemed near enough so didn’t have to do any filing. Just as well as a set of proper files apparently costs about AU$400.
  15. So I bought some guitar tools including some from MusicNomad and followed instructions from their guy on YouTube and I seem to have fixed the string buzzing problem on my Epiphone Les Paul. Basically the action was too low and there was insufficient neck relief. Of course it’s possible that the luthier I took it to originally mistook me for someone who can actually play the guitar and set the action accordingly, but I honestly think he just got it plain wrong Anyway, I’m glad I had a go and it should save me money in the future as I think I can do most of the easier stuff myself now.
  16. Bit worried about this one. Didn’t we have a bit of a wobble last time Ndidi was out with an injury?
  17. I suspect the owners will think that promotion is likely in the bag and will be very reluctant to spend more at this stage. I’d be surprised if there’s much incoming.
  18. Best I’ve seen him play. Hope he keeps it up.
  19. Thought Millwall were a bit unlucky tbh. We got away with that.
  20. Thought he had a good match today. Looks very comfortable on the ball.
  21. Not at our best but no one can complain at the scoreline. Not sure why we looked so panicky defensively at times. Perhaps Huddersfield weren’t actually too bad going forward, though their forays left space for us to attack. Made for quite an entertaining second half. Pleased for Cannon to get such a productive haul in his first start for us.
  22. Have looked much better since the goal. Hope this gives Cannon some confidence to kickstart his career with us.
  23. Once one side ignores the “rules” it becomes a race to the bottom, and only a matter of time.
  24. Happy new year all. Here’s to promotion and a good start in the PL.
  25. Get my knees fixed and try to get a bit fitter. Try to progress with learning to play the guitar to the point where it feels cool rather than sad. PS For all those using vapes, be careful. I found it was very easy to get to the point where I’d be having a few puffs every few mins. I switched from smoking to vapes around 2012 and finally gave up vaping in 2013 when I seemed to be getting a chronic cough. The cough has never gone though.
