  1. According to several posts on ITV4 before the Leeds Chelsea game
  2. They apparently argued a transfer ban was a fairer punishment and someone on the panel said that they were just looking for the PL to stop them overspending on players. The deduction should have come last season and if they get another points deduction this season they should be sued by the club's affected.
  3. It's not bollocks at all. We had 21 shots and only two were on target (which is being generous counting Fatawu's post rattler). They went toe to toe with us, had a few chances themselves and were the first side who didn't just sit back and defend all game. "Figuring out" attacking was a better option than parking the bus. And again, saying that could be our only defeat hardly warrants your over-reaction to how we apparently played in one game 5 months ago
  4. Easy tiger. You'd think I'd just predicted a slump into the play offs not one possible defeat in 12. I only said I rated the coach (as a lot of people do) 🤣 They were the first to take points off us and unlike a lot of other sides they didn't just sit back and take a hammering they actually had a go. Similar story with Sunderland but they don't have Mowbray anymore and are spiralling.
  5. Stop speaking sense. You won't get very far on here with talk like that 🤣
  6. Hull. Best of the rest and were the first ones to figure us out and do a number on us down here. Rate Rosenior highly, gets the best from his team and Carvalho was an inspired signing. Aside from that I reckon we could get 9 wins and two draws.
  7. But wait....people said Southampton were catching us and winning the league because their games were easy? Is that not happening then? 😏
  8. Ha, let's be honest even in the title season they were a bogey team for us
  9. Cannon played the ball through to Vardy last week with a great weighted pass and if you look at the goals Daka does score almost none rely on pace or a breakaway, just close range finishing. I watch both players and it's my only bug with Enzo this season that he seems to rate Daka ahead of him. That's two misses in two weeks, he surely can't start against QPR.
  10. We haven't got that many TBF. The other thing is if you weaken the team and lose that's 3 on the spin and confidence will genuinely be sapped. There's an argument for making a couple of changes, getting a win as a boost and going into the final dozen games on an up.
  11. Weird thing is, he had a good start to the season and kept Fatawu out for a bit then gets his hamstring injury and he comes back looking like a league two player. It's quite laughable when you get the likes of Courtney Sweetnam Kirk (no me neither) pre game saying he's been one of our outstanding players, showing a lot of people haven't seen us play since about October.
  12. The two games you mention turned on two officiating decisions. We were controlling Cov til the Fatawu dismissal and if Daka's goal is allowed Leeds don't have a comeback. You can probably go through the league and find a dozen games from a dozen other clubs that have all had turning points like that. Miss at one end, get punished at the other, get a player sent off when in control of a straightforward game etc. Some might say that's football for you.
  13. Jesus wept. We also had no lead at Christmas and everyone said Ipswich would win the league. They didn't win any of their next 7. We had a 10 point gap over Saints and everyone said they'd finish above us. They lost 2 of their next 3 and got battered by Hudds. Now it's Leeds who are apparently unbeatable despite us taking them apart at will for 70 mins. The absolute worst thing about those 3 chances being disallowed/missed last night is that it brings out comments like this. Nothing Maresca did could affect that outcome. He's not the linesman, he's not trained players to miss basic chances, he has however got us 6 points clear at the top of the league which if we'd been offered that in August we'd have been fvcking delighted. If those players score last night we're 12 clear and you're not making such a stupid comment.
  14. Agree with that. This is his time to step up in the next two games and be a steadying influence on the pitch. IMO we need to do something at Bournemouth just to restore a bit of confidence in the players who must be wondering how we've lost the last two games after having about 40 shots. He can be a big part of that, just a case of whether Enzo sees it the same or if he makes big changes and uses Doyle or Nelson or even Souttar instead.
  15. There are none of those players in ANY team and until the title season Morgan was never credited as a real leader, he benefitted massively from Huth arriving. Go through the league, there's no Keane's, Shearer's, Vieras, the characters, the shouters and leaders are rare these days. The team is led by Coady, Winks, Ricky, KDH and Vardy. All vastly experienced players with international and European games under their belt. The spirit is alive in the side, as much cameraderie now as the title side or the 90s/promotion chasing sides under Little & O'Neill. Results pull you through and our run in - especially if Saints needs re-arranging is favourable.
  16. How are these ratings so low? We absolutely dominated the game. Only terrible finishing costs us the points. If it was just Daka then I get the emotional aspect but some of these scores are ridiculous.
  17. Exceptional player. I always thought it was a shame injuries had wrecked his career with us but it turns out all he needed was managing better. My POTS and nudging out KDH and Winks.
  18. But that didn't happen here did it? We get a goal ruled out - wrongly. Then Mavididi and Daka fluff their lines. Until that point we were in TOTAL control. There was no frigidity about it. The deflections don't matter if we bury our chances. Every single goal came from pinball football. The Gray shot and James free kick were both off target. The Arsenal defence of the 90s couldn't have done anything about that.
  19. I fvcking hate threads like these. Honestly, some of you have been permanently damaged by Rodgers. At Christmas we were still neck & neck with Ipswich FFS. If you'd said to any of us then you'll be 6 points clear with 11 left we'd have been in dreamland. Might save a few responses to shame the doubters in May. Don't any of you saying 3rd or 4th even dare to celebrate a title win. The fans are bottling it more than the players. FML.
  20. I refuse to accept any criticism of the team as a whole or the manager in particular for that loss tonight. Two straightforward finishes missed and a ridiculous Sunday League officiating team have cost us. We defended magnificently for 70+ minutes and have been undone by two deflected goals (6 this season?) We SHOULD be 12 points clear but instead the doubters are now all pi$$ing thier pants in expectation we'll bottle it.
  21. How many deflections have we had against us this season? 3? 4? Crazy.
  22. Sh!te officials Horrendous finishing Squeaky bum time.
  23. Should be 3 up, we've been excellent This is nicely set up for a Bamford dive and late penalty equaliser. Mavi having a mare
  24. How does he book Ricardo for winning the ball but gives nothing when Gnonto plays the man? Absolutely s#itting himself with the feral locals
  25. The only other ones I'd rather not have (at this level) are Keith Stroud and Gavin Ward. He's in the top 3 of the very worst of the Prem refswith Kavanagh and that plonker Darren England. Bring back Roger Milford!
