This is why I mentioned FNF from the 90s. We were regularly getting 12-16k for reserve games because of the price point and the buzz around the club at that time. The merch sales alone would have easily covered the costs involved AND all those kids that can't get near a mens first team game or whose parents simply can't afford it get introduced to the club, the atmosphere, the team. I doubt anyone is left at the club from those days but along with Fox Leisure it was one of Pierpoint's better money-spinning ideas.

It's all opinions, nothing against him personally but he wasn't a great LB, his defensive awareness was poor. Ranieri dropped him and DeLaet after the 5-2 Arsenal game and by the time he actually left Fuchs had been pretty much ever present and we still had Chilwell coming through. The amount is debatable like I say because of the transfer explosion we've had but having paid £9M for Ulloa a year before, getting £15m for your second choice LB was decent value.
-
I'm talking about in pre-crazy-TV-money 2016 when £15m was an incredible amount for a player of his ability. Getting 8 years out of him doesn't take away from the fact we had their pants down at the time with that fee.

After Jeff Schlupp, Rudkin's best ever sale. Getting north of £35M from a desperate Chelsea board for a fairly limited player was great business and made up for the relatively low sum we were able to get for Kante. Decent in the Championship and one great season alongside Ngolo will always put a positive spin on his legacy here but the "back injury" that kept him out until 30 minutes after his transfer went through will taint it slightly.

He's never ever going to get an England call up in the Championship. I don't know what about Southgate's squad selections over the last 4 years would even give you encouragement in thinking that. I'll quote you Southgate when asked why Maguire is still picked for England (back in Aug) "It's not an area we have massive depth in. Aside from Harry's performances for us there, we've lost John Stones to injury and Connor (Coady) to the Championship" He's literally picking players who barely play for their clubs rather than experienced players at a lower level. He's got Henderson and Phillips in there ahead of Ward Prowse, and if he's not getting gametime for England as a Prem regular, Winks isn't even on the fringes. Remember the heights Maddison had to hit to get in that World Cup squad? If he'd been at Spurs last season he'd have walked into that side but he was at the point of giving 2 or 3 post-match interviews almost begging for a chance.

An absolute lesson in checking in on people that are very obviously struggling. You could see in that reunion show 2 years ago he had issues. Emotionally that show was draining for him, seeing old friends and sharing memories and realising what a void he had in his life without it. Maybe if the outpouring of help had been at a similar level to the outpouring of grief, he might still be with us. Timeles show with some classic gags from him, RIP Matt.

Another one? I thought October was the last one til March? FFS the season gets absolutely wrecked by these pointless interruptions.

Annoying and archaic but my DAB has an FM feature luckily.

Gave KDH a 5 just for his Matty-James-esque corner kicks. Give them to Winks or one of the wingers FFS. The Justin header the other night was a rare success. -
My kid's been to four games in four years. He's seen us score 1 goal and get one point (that was a 0-0). The only game he's been to this season? Hull. The little shit's going nowhere near King Power again til we're well and truly promoted.

Scratch that, I've just seen their top brass is....Lee Hoos. Fvck me, there's a blast from the past.

I don't know what half these clubs expect their managers to do. The guy's got next to no funds, he's missing 3 centre backs and having to play full backs and CMs at the back to cover. He's a Harry Winks worldie from taking a point off us but even going in to the game their top brass must have know we were odds on to win it. They've basically decided in midweek "if he doesn't beat this top class Leicester side we'll sack him".

I don't like the ones that overlap seasons, especially ten years apart. I'll wait til we've done it in a season.

Resurrect the Maxy Gradel song for this guy

General opinion is that more shite refereeing helped them out today. Ipswich should have been down to ten and maybe 2 down before they equalised. I actually had Ipswich and Plymouth in the top 6 before the start of the season, it's that whole momentum thing that we had so often under Pearson. Even so for Ipswich to have only lost twice this calendar year is incredible.

It wasn't handbags he put two hands into his chest/neck and shoved him to the floor with a fair bit of force. Two separate fouls, both yellows.

He should have had better numbers than Vardy, he's about ten years younger. The biggest thing with him though is that he doesn't worry defences, he doesn't put himself about. Vardy will chase things, pressure full backs, stay on the defender's shoulder. Watch the goals against Southampton, in one of them Vardy takes 3 defenders with him and actively points to the midfielders running in at the space he's created. I've never once seen Daka make defenders follow him or even put pressure on them, he's easy to play against. Nacho has a different game, he drops ridiculously deep so he's harder to mark but that doesn't stretch the pitch like Vardy. The club will be totally aware of the striker issue, I can't imagine a situation where they aren't already looking to strengthen should 1 or both of them leave.

There were a few rows with the away coaches with a lot of their fans calling us cheats and having the ref in our pockets. Bizarre. -
I think we'll be talking with Ndidi and Nacho's agent by Jan if they haven't already. If we go back up 37 year old Vardy is bound to want a last hurrah in the Prem. Daka had two very ineffective seasons up there with us. Get a fee for him, invest in a new striker. Having two guys out of contract doesn't mean you keep one that hasn't performed.

If Bournemouth's bad form continues they'll resurrect the deal that fell through on deadline day, you'd have thought.

Never mind Begovic, apparently Lee Peltier is still a thing in this division

He could have asked Union FS to do it with a Tifo and block 20 people's view of the walkouts

Casadei's best game for us but my MOTM was Ricky P. Tracked back, linked up play and was absolutely everywhere. Must be his longest run of games for us since his first season here. -
Well that's not impressive at all. Unless the Fosse were involved it barely registers as a stat these days
