These were my thoughts too - I'm softening on Ayew after what I saw yesterday. It would be nice to get a more mobile striker in with a higher ceiling etc etc - But I think Ayew could do quite well this season.

I get what you're saying, but it's a big squad - There is cover in pretty much all areas to allow us to be ruthless with some of these players. If it was a bare bones squad, we'd have no choice, but that's not the case with us at the moment. It just feels like we have to do more to move some of these players on, we're too nice.

True, but he's ready to be a difference-maker this season so we have to put some trust in him now...regardless of his age. I know it means pressure with it being a big season for us, but he's such a talent...we can't afford not to!

Yep. I actually like the idea of Monga playing a more central role - He might have the best feet and close control in the squad...would love to see him in a free role and picking the ball up in lots of different attacking positions.

Him and a few others shouldn't even be training with the first team never mind starting in the last pre-season friendly. We should be making it uncomfortable for these dog shit high earners to really force them out. It's the only way.

Yeah, it was probably the first time I’ve seen Monga struggle…which is impressive considering he’s just turned 16! Their full back dealt with him comfortably to be fair.

Teams are going to park the bus this season so I think we’ll need him. Not a good defender but a very good passer of the ball - If we aren’t defending very often he’ll be very useful.

Love BEK, but if we need to raise funds we need to sell him. Monga should be great in that role. I would keep Mads at all costs - So many teams are going to sit back this season that we need a GK who can start attacks.

Skipp will do well this season. Still a bad bit of business, but he’s going to have a good season.

Wasn’t he on £70k/week here? They can’t have offered even half of that. Fair play to him if we’ve asked him to move on and he actually has rather than pick up his wage and chance his arm next Summer.

Really like Mads. Rather we kept him to be honest. Selling just means more hideous recruitment anyway. Personally don’t think Stolarczyk is near to his level just yet.

Yep - Probably more running in central midfield, but less of the very high intensity runs compared to fullback. ...and anyone who is over 30 knows that this is where the injury risk is!

Abdul looked really sharp physically - Surprised me given how long he’s been out for. We should be really strong in the wide positions this season. Unfortunately the spine of the team is about as fragile as you can get!

Could Kasey be a striker? Very good runner/presser and can finish. I just don't rate him as a wide player at a decent level...

Well if you read the Ndidi transfer thread people reckon we'll easily get £10-15m for him this Summer so he should be going at least! Be surprised if we get £5m, but we'll soon see I guess... Nobody will ever pay for Soumare so he'll be here barring a loan deal.
