  1. Difficult one for the 14 remaining PL clubs in trying to kick them out of the league. According to PL league rules 75% of clubs (ie. 15) have to agree to any changes, this leaves them one short of implementing such action. Don't know how they could get round this.
  2. One simple way to kill this idea dead. UEFA the PL and other countries sporting bodies make a stand and refuse to accept any player registration from the offending clubs. This will stop players transfers, in addition will prevent players playing for their country.
  3. How about any player that signs for any club in this proposed league be sold for no less than £200 million. That would bring money into the PL and others, bleed the tossers dry I say.
  4. Should be denied playing in any league or cup games. Players banned from representing their countries. Sod em.
  5. There's a pun there somewhere, just can't think of one at the moment!
  6. Who's got the fish and chips, they smell lovely, any curry sauce?
  7. If I recall correctly the tent was made by a company at Heather / Ibstock (down in the dip between the two).
  8. For me it was always Andy Peakes goal against Liverpool in 1980. However Vardys great goal in my opinion eclipses it. To catch the ball as cleanly as he does when it's coming from behind him, truly a great goal.
  9. Just thinking about when I can finally return to my seat in SK3. I'm wondering if I will have the same people sitting around me. The Polish couple who sit next to me, the old guy midway along the row who always gets up several times during the match to go for a pee. The couple behind me where the wife swears like a trooper, he just sits and mutters under his breath! The tasty woman a couple of rows infront who when we score jumps up and wiggles her arse so invitingly. Don't know about you but I can't wait for our return. What do you miss most on Matchday?
  10. Fortunately I never saw this side play! I stopped going to see the City in early 1976 when I got married and no longer came into the city at weekends. Still followed their results though. I remember the talk about how abysmal the city were!
  11. Had the pleasure of once seeing Frank play, fantastic player so skillful. RIP Frank.
  12. Remember us losing out to the FA cup final in 1969 against Man City, watching it on TV. A 1-0 defeat. What a time we've had, from going to physically seeing the City play from 1974 onwards, what a roller coaster ride it's been. Good managers, Brian Little, Martin O'Neil, Pearson etc.. Bad Managers, Pleat, Taylor, and god knows who when Mandaric owned us. FA cup Semi's, League Cup victories, play off wins and losses, promotion, relegation. The low of being dumped into the 3rd tier for the first time in our history to the high of surviving relegation by the great escape. Then the pinnacle of our achievements, Winning the Premiership. I know many of you would forgo us winning the FA Cup for a place in the ECL this season, to me this is wrong. Hopefully we reach the cup final and if it's Man city again, so be it. The difference this time is that we hopefully go on to win. We will still make the ECL in my opinion this season, lets just go along for the ride. Enjoy, because I'm sure that the future of Leicester City will contain many more highs and lows.
  13. I'd imagine after yesterdays performance that Man U, Pool and Man City will be looking to see which of our players they could prise away. Slap a transfer ban on all of them, alternatively they must give £100 million for each one.
  14. For me it's always been the song Mississippi by Pussycat from the early 70's. I can recall a radio 1 DJ actually saying that the chorus sounded like Le ester city.
  15. I recall seeing a documentary years ago about scouting young players, the scouts were bemoaning the fact that if the players were offered contracts with the likes of Liverpool or Man U. that they were far more likely to join them rather than any other club. The likes of Leicester etc. were simply left to try to sign what was left. Even today youngsters would probably still prefer to sign for what has been traditionally a "Top Club". Hopefully now things will change, we are riding high in the league and beginning to become more well known. We have one of the finest training grounds in the PL. If we can become known as a club that gives top class coaching, all of this will hopefully attract the more talented youngsters away from the likes of the aforementioned.
  16. Remember when MOTD commentary was John Motson.
  17. Heaven Brendan must be missing an ...........
  18. Don't know for certain, however I sit in SK3 so suspect it's the same elsewhere in the ground.
  19. I recall one season my book of season tickets did not arrive before the first game. Went to the ticket office and they gave me a new book of tickets for the season. Told me that if my other book turned up in the post to send it back to them. The following week said book turned up, whereby either of my sons took it in turns to attend the matches for free during that season! Now being a pensioner I get a discount on my ST. The only one either of them could now use it is to upgrade it via the ticket office on a match by match basis, upto a maximum of 10 matches.
  20. I've waited 68 years for us to win the cup! If we did it would certainly not be forgotten, ever.
  21. Never been to Prague, they tell me it's a nice place to visit. It's a damn shame that we cannot go to these games, I've been to Athens, loved the city. No idea as to how Slavia play, I'm sure the match analysts at city have been poring over their games to give Brendan some insight as to their strengths and weaknesses. We have have an indication as to how we'll approach the match when we hear the team news.
  22. Really don't know how to call this, would settle for a draw.
  23. Feel really sorry for him. Would probably have been part of the Euro squad, as it is he will have to sit out the rest of the season. At least it stops the hawks gathering in the summer for one of our top players. Hopefully he'll make a good recovery and come back even stronger.
  24. I know certain players used to read this forum, it has been mentioned many a time in the past. Even one of our managers wives used to read read it! Some people will criticise a players performance no matter what. We all have players that we like / dislike. More fool the player for taking note of what comments are made. Saying that it's one thing to criticise the performance, quite another to be abusive in any way shape or form. I cannot understand why some people feel that it's ok to be abusive, I'm sure that they would not like to be treated in that way so why do they bother?
