That's assuming he ever had one. We don't need another youngster with a stroppy attitude. We already have that in Demarai Gray.

“After the saving the club we tried to play for seventh place in the table, and with different problems we didn’t succeed. I have no regrets about this. “Perhaps we weren’t ready for this. “For the next season we have to strengthen the team and also in our character and desire. We must be consistent.” Hmm. Always easier to say in hindsight, eh Claude? I really want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, and I do strongly believe that some of the players let him and the club down, and should be moved on, but I can't help but wonder if he wasn't really planning for City to play in Europe next season. Where's the ambition?

I've waited 24 years to say this.

Had been coming over the past couple of years. Unlucky to lose 2-1 at the Emirates during the title-winning season, again unlucky to lose 4-3 at the Emirates on the opening day of the season. Rather fitting that he loses his final match against us as an Arsenal manager, only managed to do it at the 21st time of asking! -
Given more game time, he will get better and better. Barely put a foot wrong today. Keep it up Hamza.
-
Still out. This was a good performance against a 10-man Arsenal side, who knows what it could have been if they had 11 on the pitch. This papers over the cracks as far as I am concerned.

Rating our managerial appointments

Sousa 2 (Sexy football doesn't suit us, sorry Paulo. Won't forget that 6-1 away drubbing to Portsmouth in a hurry. Wrong man for the job.) Sven 4 (Spent a fortune, but transfers were more misses than hits. Was never a dull moment though.) Pearson 10 (Set the foundations for the fairytale, and always had the backing of the dressing room. Would have him back!) Ranieri 9 (Carried on from where Nigel left off and the rest is history. But the more he tweaked in the following season, the worse it got. Remember the happier times Claudio, we still are.) Shakespeare 5 (Got us out of a potentially dire situation, Nigel would have been proud. Somewhat undone by a harsh fixture list and don't think he had much of a say on our transfer policy. Was never going to be a long-term replacement though.) Puel 4 (His time is running out, dare I say, run out. He is almost Paulo Sousa MkII, with the same problem this time around. The wrong players for the wrong system. But equally, his tactics, selections and substitutions are bizarre at best. Flew out the blocks, but a few tickers later, the system fell apart. And we are only 9th because teams around us are just as inconsistent as we are.) -
We STILL had no better option.
-
Will be missing the West Ham home match for family commitments but probably just as well given the recent performances. May as well go to the rearranged Arsenal fixture though.

Doubt it. That tweet was made when the full-time whistle was blown.

Rudkin is sadly untouchable. That said, would love to see his sorry backside getting kicked to the kerb with Macia right behind him.
-
The club should reimburse those fans who went down to the game too. Sometimes, words aren't enough. His resignation should suffice too.

When does Puel go? - A simple Poll Mk 3
Bezzanator89 replied to Steven's topic in Leicester City Forum
After this game... Even if he stays until the end of the season, we have nothing to gain apart from any kind of pride that we abjectly surrendered today. Home attendances and atmospheres could well decide his fate, although I think today has confirmed it. Bring back Pearson. There, I said it. -

No player gets more than a 4. And I am being generous. Record low in manager confidence coming right up. -
Maybe he was feeling generous. After all, he was giving Crystal Palace an easy game for 90 minutes. May as well appease their fans as well, don't worry about our fans Adrien.
-
Can see this from both sides of the fence. But I don't get a season ticket to watch boring, passive football for 90 minutes. Or do I just miss the entertaining Leicester City that may have had a bit more of a risk factor about it, but was a lot more entertaining. Boring, boring, BORING. Puel's system does not suit our players, who at times were working on eleven different wavelengths. People may say that he has had the January transfer window to make changes but most clubs are get reluctant to do business until the summer. Does he get that opportunity? Call me mad, and trust me, our football has driven me to that point, but he needs his chance to make his system with his players, rather than the ones he has inherited. So he stays, just.

Was bouncing off the walls when we sold Schlupp, and not just because it was for £12m, which all things considered, was the deal of the century, but also because like Chilwell, he had zero end product. 99% of his shots either ballooned over the bar or was closer to the corner flag. Had raw pace and power but no skill when he needed it most. Chilwell has potential, absolutely bags of it, and he is my pick of the two. Ben has had flashes of brilliance but they are all too far between. Needs some time out on loan at a lower level so he can raise his game. Worked for the likes of Vardy, it could work for him.
-
Know that putting Gray back on the bench will give him reason to throw his toys out the pram again, but when Diabaté does more in 30mins than Demarai did in double that, you'd think that Claude needs to shake things up. His selfishness on the ball has always rubbed me up the wrong way. Maybe some time as an impact sub may do him some good to get his confidence back up

Least amount of supporters standing?
Bezzanator89 replied to Weller in Tights's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm all up-"standing" for more noise and louder atmosphere. But being someone who is vertically-challenged (5'5"), I wouldn't exactly be able to see if we were all literally standing. Don't really pay season-ticket prices to stare at the back of someone's head. ? -

4s for Schmeichel, James and Gray. 5s for Simpson, Chilwell, Ndidi and Vardy. 6s for Mahrez, Albrighton, Morgan and Maguire. If anyone other than the Leicester Mercury gives a 7 to any of these players I would be shocked. Picked Stay for Claude, as it's easy to get swept along with the current poor league run we are on, but unless relegation becomes an unlikely possibility, I'd say just give him until the start of next season and see what happens. Has some serious work to do though all over the pitch, where confusion reigned for 80mins yesterday. -
Feel for Dragovic and Amartey. Admittedly not the latter's biggest fan but they must have been doing the business when we had five consecutive clean-sheets whilst those two were out with hamstring injuries.
-
Schmeichel, like many others (e.g. Simpson and Drinkwater), had their best season when we won the Premier League. And like them, his overall game-play has failed to reach those heights since. His distribution has been average at best this season, but performances of late show he is struggling to pick out the players like he used to. And his decision making, especially today which nearly put us 2-0 down if Shaqiri had his shooting boots on, has been poor. Not to mention his positioning at free-kick set-pieces is usually questionable as well. No doubt he is still one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League, but there are other qualities that need some work.
-
Tell that to Ben Marshall.
-
Short corners have their positives, but we just can't execute them. Most we have ever got out of them was a yellow card for Marc Albrighton. Save them for the training ground.
