That is basically a 4 4 2 with bobby on the left wing
-
Hahha ffs!
-
Yeah that one came to mind. 6 4 0 formation. Sarah missed a pen and then missed the rebound as well didnt he? We'll have to disagree on that one. Im sure if you stick nelson on the penalty spot with 8 others players in the box he'll look alright haha

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

Clubs aren't forced to do anything. They know the rules. Something that another club did 20 years ago isn't relevant. -
I'd imagine he'd take one look at the wing back options and think that the suggestion would be absolutely mental unless we were looking to play a 5 4 1 and try and 0-0 every game. Which feels very unlikely with this team. At this point I just want to see 3 CBs over and done with, throw Lurch in there, patrolling the backline as well. Just to shut people up

It's good that there'll be stuff to play for at the end of the season (hopefully), unless you're emotionally attached to these a lot of the games are an absolute chore to watch. In fact, watching Leicester play that way is a chore, even under Enzo haha. Obviously the final deciding fixtures are exciting as everything rides on those games. Good lord though, watching defenders pass it between themselves before launching a ball to the other teams defence when they run out of ideas. Then watching the other team do the exact same thing. Watching the first half of a lot of games this season has been a painful experience. They usually pick up 2nd half when the managers drop the handbrake a couple of mm.

I think he has less situational awareness than any player in the club. Which for a defensive minded player isn't ideal. If we get confirmed relegated I'd love to see him at CB for the banter though. The only real time he's played CB is in a back 5 with 5 players about 10 yards in front of them. That kind of formation got Coady into the England squad when he was with Wolves.

Purely anecdotal and it surprised me but a few blades I know said that Hamza was gash in CM for them and much better when he was playing at RB for them.

Back 3 would be horrific. The CBs aren't used to it and we've got nothing that resembles a wing back. So you either play wingers there and get absolutely ball bagged down the channels or you play full backs, which just turns into a back 5 and just get pinned in for 90 mins while we watch our players lose their men and make it look like the oppo have got all the time in the world. I get that people want change, but that particular option looks so much worse to me. -
I find it mad that people in these positions throw around childish insults that you'd heard in a play ground. These should be eloquent, intelligent people.

All the loans/credit lines are against our income aren't they? So the money will just be paid directly to them from clubs/premier league rather than going to us. Either that or we renegotiate, but I'm not sure we're in a position to do that given that we have very little income guaranteed and probably none that actually allows us to break even.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
filbertway replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I can only assume that it's mind games as the defenders aren't sure whether to follow the center forward and his slow rambles around the pitch It genuinely makes no sense to me at all. Must be luck that he just happened to be starting when James or Fatawu have banged in another worldie against a poor team. -
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
filbertway replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
With Ayew he actually provides a net loss to the team as it's like playing with 10 men against 12 as he offers With Daka it looks like we're playing with 11 men, even if he looks like Bambi on Ice whenever the ball is near him. We are undoubtedly weaker with Ayew in the team, I am absolutely baffled about what Marti or Rowett see in him. -
From his post match interview it sounded like was just drained mentally having to be at the venue for 10 hours. I did see that, but he didn't seem to be stretching or touching it afterwards. Which you'd expect if someone has an injury, so I just assumed his belt or shirt were uncomfortable when he went to collect his darts at that point. 5 out of 6 games he had over 100 average with 109, 110 and 112. Some weekend for the lad. Good to see him do it on stage consistently for a whole tournament. The top level of darts has some ridiculous talent and depth and I think it'll only improve over the next 5-10 years with the number of young lads and girls that have taken up darts in the past few years.

Incredibly immobile defence with no protection. On the ball that team should be decent though. 5-4 Leicester!
-
Assume they were claiming offside. Unfortunately not seen an angle that shows their striker at the time the ball was played
-
He should be on the edge of his box though, no keeper should be anywhere near their line at that point. The criticism seems to be that he didn't decide to commit to coming out at this point when the ball bounces 10 yards outside his box and the CB looks like they should be dealing with it. If he had come out for this it would have been a poor and rash decision. The bounce doesn't carry into the box, so he's just left with a striker at full pace who has the luck of the bounce and been completely let through. I think he's been shaky, but it's incredibly harsh to lay criticism at his door for the first goal in my opinion. As happens a lot with keepers that end up in these positions, the complaint seems to be that he didn't know exactly what was going to happen. Rather than appreciating the context of the situation and realising there's several possible outcomes to weigh up. Credit to the finish as well, he had a hell of a lot to do.

LCFC 2-0 Bristol City, post-match thread
filbertway replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
After the Norwich game and the complete lack of energy we showed, I get why he wanted to make changes. It's just unfortunate that the changes are absolutely hideous Having the ability to run trumps being worse at playing football. Considering we played a lot of that game with 10 men that was very solid. Nice to see us winning without needing an outrageous goal to do it as well. Rowett's doing a very decent job so far. -
Haha! Thats why I said its the dream Expectation is 1 good half and one horrendous half
-
A win would be nice tonight but seeing a good dominant 90 minute performance would give me more confidence than a lucky win. Take a nice lead into half time and dont let them attack us for the entirety of the 2nd half. Thats the dream
-
We definitely don't have wing backs though. We've got 2 fit senior full backs and they're both very easy to get at. I don't mind throwing Aluko in, but I'm not convinced he improves the the position. I don't actually know there is a solution to this issue that improves the situation. It is very painful having to witness it every week though If you go Aluko and Hamza as full backs, we increase the athleticism maybe you roll the dice on those 2. But we've seen Hamza at full back enough to know that he will gift plenty of chances to the oppo. Aluko only seen a handful of times and while I like the idea of developing youth, I wouldn't expect him to improve us at full back this season, so if you're willing to take that risk then fair enough, but it needs to be accepted that he'll likely cost us goals as well. Would you believe Thomas is our second for assists in our team? haha.

Go on, imagine it, who are the replacements?

Cant help but love the guy. RVN being mentally unhinged has called his rep

Nice! Almost everyone to a man said we would be smashed. We come out with a point. King Gary! <3
