The relegation run-in thread

This is aweful, hopefully spurs can pinch it, but no entertainment so far at all.

Sometimes I forget how boring football must be for some teams. At least our games are exciting, regardless of whether we win or lose.

For me Sunderland are down, they have a hard run in and with the way it's going the final two games are going to mean everything for the bottom 6! Have you seen Sunderland's final two fixtures? lol

Hull have got it hard but I think they'll hang on.

Villa will probs hang on too.

QPR, Burnley and Leicester are all scrapping for one place. Burnley are giving it a good go and QPR regained hope. I personally think we're the better side and clearly have a better run in.

I think it boils down to this: Is our run in and game in hand bigger than our 3 point disadvantage on Burnley and QPR because if it's not than we're down.

2 points gained on Burnley this weekend which is a positive. How we've got 0 points out of Spurs this season with the performances we have turned out against them and scoring 4 across both fixtures is beyond me. But you knew after two deflected goals and a hideous penalty decision to win them the game against us that Spurs would play like a sack of shit today.

Now lets hope we gain some points on Sunderland too.

Burnley draw, not the ideal result but not the worst, happy?

At least they didn't win, the crucial one for me is Sunderland losing. :fc:

With Spurs playing as they did I'd have to say yes, I'm pleased. A four point gap between us and them is tolerable.

Sunderland's the big one though IMO.

Shit. Gap to 6 points, bump back down to earth

It will be disappointing but it is still 2 points gained on Burnley. We also posted a much needed home win and can take some comfort from having a game in hand (it is against Chelsea but at least was have an additional opportunity to pick up some points).

That and with 45 minutes for Newcastle to do us a favour still.
