fuchsntf Posted 16 May 2016 Share Posted 16 May 2016 Look !! Lets be fair. Garth Crooks not even for entertainment value, would he get in any fans top pundit/panelists team. He is like Mills is simply naff and incompetent. All the others deserve their opinions, and one could create 2 leagues from them. 1st season will see C.Nicholas, Lawrenson getting relegated.Merson would just scrape in because hes funny and sympathetic. Mind you nobody would deserve the title after this season. It wasnt the doubts, or thoughts on the Leicesters chances, it was often some of them were contemptible, towards the team. Souness even with his bias, like Shearer did slowly come around. Carragher just looked perplexed every week. Neville actually started well before he then left. Wrighty, run away guest pundit, alongside Henri, both way back before christmas, Both did say 'Why not' ??
Langston Posted 16 May 2016 Share Posted 16 May 2016 Alderweireld is another rather surprising one. No it isn't, he's been tremendous for Spurs.
StanSP Posted 16 May 2016 Share Posted 16 May 2016 Simpson has come on a huge amount this season. However, I'd rather have Fuchs instead of Bertrand (?!) and Bellerin instead of Simpson. Surprised Dele Alli didn't make his team.
Zear0 Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 The bloke us absolutely awful as a pundit. However his view on the media coverage of Claudio is actually quite good. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39174667 "The hysterical nonsense that accompanied manager Claudio Ranieri's departure from certain pundits, who frankly should have known better, was alarming to say the least. Leicester's triumph's last season was a monumental 'team effort' and not Ranieri's victory. Nothing destabilises a dressing room quicker than when players detect that the manager has suddenly become 'big time' and starts to 'tinker' with the magical ingredients that created the success in the first place. Managers are nothing without players - a feature that will not be lost on Ranieri as he sits and watches the team produce the goods again, post his departure." Garth doesn't think of anything without first hearing it from someone else first.
ithuriel Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 Wow, for someone obsessed with Spurs what he says about Leicester and pundits spouting garbage shows a lot of clarity
Finnegan Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 To be fair, I think the thinly veiled swipe at Claudio was a bit much. The implication he's some billy big bollocks was a bit much. But the rest was about right. The fact that all the pundits are claiming the players stopped playing for Claudio yet none of them have asked why that might be is particularly telling. NewEnglandFox Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 I love Garth. Mostly because he says whatever he wants even if it's irrelevant yet somehow people find it super divisive.
ARM1968 Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 He's an Uncle Sam know nothing moron - IMHO.
oxford blue Posted 6 March 2017 Share Posted 6 March 2017 I doubt if he has very much to with the content of this article as it is prefaced by a statement that the players have been selected by BBC journalists. I presume this applies to the comments on each as he only makes banal comments on tv.
Tuna Posted 7 March 2017 Share Posted 7 March 2017 Yes got to love Garth, we'd miss him if he packed it in. He's normally quite insane but he's been talking a worrying amount of sense lately.
