TOMBlcfc Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 I'd take no notice of his team of the week. Doesn't know what he's talking about
CPW22 Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Have you ever seen Garth on Final Score? I do wonder on his knowledge of teams outside the top 6 given some of the things he says
shailen Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Both King and Cambiasso should be in that team. All the Chelsea players except for Hazard were average at best.
RowlattsFox Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Don't take this too seriously but joe hart???? He barely touched the ball FFS, kasper should be there at the very least.
Benguin Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 What you have got to remember is most people employed to comment on football are retarded
daddylonglegs Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Have you ever seen pundits on TV? I do wonder on their knowledge of teams outside the top 6 given some of the things they say Edited it for you mate.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Gareth Crooks talks a load of shite, and mostly delivered badly. I really don't understand how he has made a career behind a microphone. Leaving our players out is just a matter of opinion, like mine is that he's shite.
RedSoxUK Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 I'm sure he had Vardy in there last week Playing behind the strikers in a 3 - 3 - 1 - 3 (seriously.) Garth Crooks' Team of the Week is a regular conversation I have with people to discuss his delusion, it's criminal he's still getting away with it. Every week he looks at who scored for each team, if anyone has a brace or more, instantly in the 11. If anyone has scored as a defensive midfielder or a defender, instantly in the 11. If a keeper has saved a penalty or kept a clean sheet, instantly in the 11 - same applies to centre backs. It comes down to Crooks being an idiot really, he doesn't actually have a clue, doesn't watch every game, but it's his opinion.. soooo, subjective of course. Using this quote to sum up him picking Fabian Delph: "England boss Roy Hodgson has someone to replace Frank Lampard in his midfield." I mean, this is border line delusion for those in an Aston psychiatric ward. Kane did literally nothing but score - and wouldn't be picked if he had been substituted a minute before being subbed. It's above our own Foxes Talk delusion of bigging up players after scoring a goal; difference is Andy King probably deserves the credit for his performance around netting a goal.
Nalis Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Garth Crooks' style annoys me, tries to sound like he's making a really important point when in reality its some obvious info that everyone is aware of anyway.
shailen Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 His opinions are as insightful as listening to Michael Owen commentating is enjoyable. Always picks the big players from the big teams.
Brooksy Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 The fact that he had a kickabout with Mr Blobby says it all imo, clueless twat
HighPeakFox Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 Perhaps we need to start a petition to have him removed from the BBC, much like the one doing the rounds to have The Sun ditch Katie Hopkins
MooseBreath Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 He has always been a terrible pundit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why he's still in a job though.
Carl the Llama Posted 20 April 2015 Posted 20 April 2015 He has always been a terrible pundit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why he's still in a job though. That wouldn't explain how Nutty McNulty still has a job.
ImBlue Posted 21 April 2015 Author Posted 21 April 2015 He has always been a terrible pundit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why he's still in a job though. It's a shame, but you have a fair point.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 April 2015 Posted 21 April 2015 He has always been a terrible pundit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why he's still in a job though. Because he's male?
