Leicester players in/not in Garth Crooks TOTW

Recommended Posts

He gets given a list from Opta of the 11 best players statistically of the weekend and has to write a bit about them, he doesn't actually pick the team though.

This has to be on par with my parents de-masking Father Christmas for whom he really is...!

Best idea of all time. Close the thread, Garth crooks never to be mentioned again on this Forum.

His reporting is of the lowest level, so keep him down there.

We have so many other quality or amusing idiots stealing easy money in punditry,

ignoring this one, would stop all this stress posting...

:xmaslaugh:  :xmaslaugh:  :xmaslaugh: Proof if ever you needed it that the BBC's football department is more interested in trolling the greater public and getting controversy clicks than getting people to take their journalists seriously.

4 Leicester stars, 2 Spurs, 1 Man United & Liverpool, 0 from Arsenal

But how did those league finishes translate into the BBC’s EPL team of the season?

The Foxes were the best represented club, with four players in the team. Interestingly, goalie Kasper Schmeichel failed to lock down a place, while Jamie Vardy incredibly was also left out of the team.

Rather, Man United stopper David De Gea was selected between the sticks, while Man City forward Sergio Aguero was picked alongside Tottenham striker Harry Kane in the attack.

The four Leicester players who did make the cut were Wes Morgan, Danny Simpson, N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez.

Turning to midfield, Liverpool and West Ham playmakers Philippe Coutinho and Dimitro Payet both forced their way into the team.

The final two slots in the team went to Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld and Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.

I think Simpson's been quite poor these last few games having been caught out of position too often.

Is that down to his court appearances or what seems more apparent to me an eagerness to try and get on the score sheet?
