lcfcfoz Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 worth 50 if worse happens will get 450 back to ease the pain
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 worth 50 if worse happens will get 450 back to ease the pain It'd take a much larger sum to ease any pain with the stick we'd get off Forest and Derby
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 200 for 1800 back I'd have to return around 4k minimum
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Am i right in thinking if we beat soton and sunderland and gull fail to win against burnley and tottenham we are safe? Or if we get a 4 poibts out of our next two and hull get 0 we are safe?
kingcarr21 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Many are assuming our game against Sunderland will be decisive but three factors - our goal difference, Newcastle's situation and the wretched run of form that's emphasised it still further and the fact that we are attacking and scoring goals in the way we should have done all season offer great encouragment. I don't see that Pardew's ex-team will suddenly regalvanise itself - there seems to be so much built in bitterness both on and off the field. our goal difference may be a big plus come the final countdown and I don't see particular reasons why either our confidence or our finally-found goals threat should suddenly disappear. With the coming of Huth and the ability of both Albrighton and Schlupp to deliver fast and sometimes dangerous balls into the box we have latterly turned a major weakness - our failure to score from free-kicks and crosses in general - into something of a strength and one that is no longer easy to combat. We also seem to have the speed, spirit and confidence necessary to win more points. Everyone is going to be fighting but, for me, Newcastle are beginning to look ever-more vulnerable. Imagine a situation where a draw between Sunderland and Leicester would keep both up and send Newcastle down. You never know! Shame it cant happen. We both only play 1 game before the Sunderland vs Leicester game so assuming both Leicester and Sunderland win then it be Leicester 37 points Sunderland 36 points Newcastle 35 points So a draw would put Sunderland only 2 points ahead of Newcastle.
Guest Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I don't care who finishes below us as long as at least 3 teams do. Being as Sunderland and Hull are below us at the moment I'd be happy for them not to win another point this season. Certainly not a point next weekend.
cc_star Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Still 50/50 IMO It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we lose to Southampton, while Sunderland beat Everton They'll be more than capable of getting a draw out of us to keep us below them... and I really don't fancy the QPR game at all, they've created chances galore all season, they generally play well, but are on the wrong end of fine margins.... With the pressure off them, I think they could be dangerous, as they almost were to Man City (Agueroooo) when they were already relegated
cjslcfc Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Given we are only one point above the relegation zone, it's as tight as it has been for the past couple of weeks. I've rated our chances as quite good for a while given form, fixtures and our style of play in recent weeks. This weekend hasn't changed much, especially with results elsewhere.

talking_goldfish Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I have voted Quite Good every time on these. The fact is we have won 5 out of 6 games gaining 15 points, in the same time Dull have taken 6, Sunderland have taken 7 and Newcastle have taken a big fat 0. We're currently playing with a swagger of a team vying for a Champions League place! We knew that there would be a few surprise results at this end of the season, a la Sunderland beating Southampton, but I can't see them beating Everton away, I can also see Burnley getting something at Dull and as others have said I fail to see where Newcastle's next point is coming from. I just can't bring myself to vote "near to 100%" regardless of how confident I feel!
Guest bss9401 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I'm still 50/50 given the current form of the teams still involved. This is the Premier league and we were never going to be safe on 34 points, much as I would love us to be. I do think that one team will end the campaign badly so 3 more points may well be enough.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I voted "quite good" but it is so bloody tight down there that a not completely unrealistic set of results could see us relegated before we play QPR on the final day. Definitely going to need 4 more points I'd have thought. Had you offered me 34 points 6 weeks ago I'd have snapped your arm off but now it doesn't look like anywhere near enough.
sylofox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Never thought we would go down and still do not. Provided Cambiasso and vardy stay fit and play. One has a physical drive the other a mental and know how drive. Yes we need others to step up and be on form Huth praps needed as much as the other two. But yes we will do it. This season the last few weeks is praps the greatest Foxes Never Quit season ever. Would have been very easy for them to give up being bottom easy to say we don't when top 8.
Number 6 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Going quite good now. Sunderland have got to beat our points total by 2, Hull by 1 or score more goals and Newcastle have got to match it. I can see one or two of them doing that but think all 3 is unlikely. As has been stated, it could look completely different Saturday tea time but as things stand I wouldn't swap our position and remaining fixtures for any of the 3 teams mentioned.

We're level with hull on gd. It's possible that we could have the same points but their gd improves more than ours.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 If you would of said to me after the Spurs game 'If we win 5 of the last 9 do you think we will stay up?" I would of pretty much thought it would be a guarantee. I think a result against Saints & Hull lose (regardless of Sunderland result) I don't think Hull will pick up another point. I'm a Burnley/Everton/West Brom & Leicester Fan this weekend! Call me a Toffee Fox in a Claret Baggie

howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I keep having this nightmare of Joey Barton scoring in the last minute and sending us down in the last game.
Babylon Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 What do we want QPR to do this weekend? If QPR draw against Man City and one of Sunderland or Hull or us, lose QPR go into the Newcastle game with the possibility of still staying up if they win. Meaning they are perhaps more likely to take points off Newcastle. Problem is I suppose if they win the Newcastle game it then means they could go into the last game needing to win against us if we haven't picked up a point against Saints or Sunderland. Arrrgh.

I'm not sure I want to play QPR already relegated, their style might lend itself well to the pressure being off If QPR somehow get something out of Man City while Burnley, Everton & West Brom all get results would be great, especially if we better their result

Want QPR to be too many points behind us to overtake us. They'll probably still beat Newcastle.
mundella boy Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 both were shit hamo was a joke I seem to remember some very good teachers.Perhaps its my poor memory playing tricks.
Corky Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Incredible how things change around so swiftly. A few weeks ago we'd have wanted Newcastle to beat QPR, Villa to beat Burnley, possibly Hull to take points from Burnley. Now it's the other way round.
