As said before, and everyone knows it, Man City will pay whatever it takes and English players are stupidly overpriced. Deulofeu for £2.2m, Sterling for £50m? Then add wages etc... Why wouldn't they? Torres was good for Liverpool then he had a bad spell that lasted a long time and Chelsea still paid £50m, I don't think it was the manager's choice Abramovich was obsessed with getting him

If you let clubs get your players for less than you could've got then more fool you. I think it's pretty scandalous that someone like Sterling will go for that much but blame the utterly obscene money in the English game (that supposedly 'enhances' it).

McClean has scored 11 goals in 87 appearances for the Latics and was voted player of the year last season as they were relegated to League One. He said: "This is a big club and a new chapter for me." The 26-year-old played for Derry City in Northern Ireland and signed for Sunderland in August 2011, before joining Wigan in August 2013. McClean has signed a three-year deal with Tony Pulis' side, with the club having 12-month option.
