sdb Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Fox Leisure. Keen for the new summer range as my clobber's starting to look a bit tired.
fuchsntf Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Anytent ware suits me. Shoes...canoe or u-boats, in desperation looking around for 2nds from frankenstein model agency. tee-shirts....pillowcases with a hole cut out. trousers, I go down to the local airport, and try to find some wind socks I can sow together. neck-ties or cravats, just go out late at night, pulling down the flags.
BoneDog Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Yes, I haven't had to buy a new coat since I paid this kind of money for mine. That's true. I spent a measly £240 on a winter jacket years ago and it's still in mint condition apart from one of the pop buttons came off when some bird borrowed it once. Don't know how she managed that but I'm still livid. I was like "BLOODY HELL WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" well high pitched.

Guest Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Can anybody justify spending £600+ on a coat? My long Leather cost in excess of that.
Guest MattP Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 My long Leather cost in excess of that. Flasher alert. My wardrobe is pretty much 80% Boss, I love the stuff, rest of it is either Lacoste or Paul Smith. I always buy Kurt Geiger shoes though, so comfortable.
Guest Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Those of you who tend to buy and wear one brand, are you proud to be associated with the other people who do the same or are you embarrassed by it? Especially brands like Stone Island, Burberry, Lacoste for example?

Especially brands like Stone Island, Burberry, Lacoste for example? Why would someone be automatically associated with somebody else just because they are wearing the same jumper?
Guest MattP Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Those of you who tend to buy and wear one brand, are you proud to be associated with the other people who do the same or are you embarrassed by it? Absolutely, Boss made the Nazi uniforms, I've got a trench coat.
Guest Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Why would someone be automatically associated with somebody else just because they are wearing the same jumper? Are you disputing that they are? That would be naive considering the use of "celebrities" to sell brand products.

Ollie93 Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Are you disputing that they are? That would be naive considering the use of "celebrities" to sell brand products. If you are talking about celebrity endorsed items, then people buy them to look like their "idols" so to speak. But I wouldn't class myself as an associate of someone in the street just because we wear the same jumper.

When I think of certain brands clothing I think of certain groups of people - Baby Squad, Skinheads, Mods and sometimes quite specific groups of people. I think there is a difference between people buying a "brand" for quality and a "brand" for identity but I think it should be acknowledged that this is irrelevant from the pov of how the person is seen. Branding is marketing and all about group identity.

Some people will buy PrettyGeen, because of the quality or how it fits, others because they want to look like Liam Gallagher wearing sunglasses indoors.
Samilktray Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 The quality and fit on Pretty Green isnt great. People arent buying that brand for those reasons and if they are they should look elsewhere
Ollie93 Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 The quality and fit on Pretty Green isnt great. People arent buying that brand for those reasons and if they are they should look elsewhere I was using it as an example.
