I hope they have read it; 90% of the comments are saying it's inexcusable and want strong disciplinary action taken. The remaining 10% shows that KIO's work is far from done.

Rightly or wrongly you just can't dismiss people because you want to. Secondly you cannot assume that the women were prostitutes regardless of where they were. Thirdly, are all the people that were making snidey remarks about what will be going on in Thailand, (lady boy jokes etc) when the tour was announced, now all shocked and horrified now it has happened. We all knew they were going on the piss and some would be hanging out the back. These idiots filmed it and sent it home but are you honestly surprised that's what they were doing? If they hadn't said "slit-eye" its a total non story

I'm not trying to justify any of this - from misbehaving on a work trip, sex with prostitutes, to the language they use. In fact, if the clip isn't out of context then I'd have to say that I'd take personal offence to their treatment of women and attitudes towards race - if what we've seen turned out to be representative of those players' views. In that respect it'd be interesting to see these players try to explain themselves, though this will of course never happen. What I was saying was that I don't have all of the information. For all I know this could have been a bit of jokey sexual role play or a fantasy which the girls were playing along with, it could have been heavily ironic - I'm really not sure. And some posters appear to be personally and equally disgusted by the fact that the girls are probably prostitutes, that it's apparently a 'rim job', that it's group sex they're taking part in and so on. I'm not sure some of our posters have an enlightened enough perspective on sex, nor a saintly-enough approach towards life in general to feel that way. I mean, what makes what they've done worse than, say, Wes's drink driving ban? Except, as I said, for the fact that this is recorded. So what I'm saying is that the only clear thing we can pinpoint as a reason for them being sacked - and they can have little argument if they are fired - is their incredible stupidity at having recorded all of these things, whether the girls are prostitutes or not, and whether what they say is representative of their 'wider' behaviour or not. I mean, we'd be disgusted by plenty of things all sorts of people get up to in their bedrooms, but we're not confronted by them. In terms of punishment, I'd say that the club will need to get to the bottom of who made the racist remark if they hope to salvage the careers of any of the participants. I hope the owners don't force Pearson into what must be a very difficult decision - nobody wants the defining moment of their relationship with their son to be firing him for taking part in a 'racist orgy' watched by millions - and either take the decision out of his hands, or find a way of avoiding the public flagellation. If, for example, it was Smith who made the remark they could cancel his contract and give the other two a final warning. The story, hopefully, will die out and grant them the space to find the most careful and diplomatic outcome. But yes, I fully acknowledge there's another, very likely scenario whereby the behaviour wasn't atypical, and it was a faithful representation of how they were treating those women. In that case, as I say, they'll deserve whatever punishment the club sees fit, I'd find their behaviour offensive, and there'd be nothing left but to hope that the saga doesn't have a devastating effect on our manager.

I'm sure that if I had done anything so bad that the company name was brought up or the bosses had to be involved I would be in serious trouble. The worst thing here is that whilst there the owners would be meeting people to promote the club and gain more interest. The players may be involved all the time but they would be expected to behave like responsible adults.

Nine times out of ten (merely an estimate, I'm sorry that I didn't have the time to conduct a full statistical analysis of this) parenting, or lack of it is to blame for a child's downfall into drugs, prostitution and the such.
