Premier League stars' racist orgy shame caught on camera during Thailand tour

Is it though? Or are the owners just giving people a free holiday. I've not seen press about them doing functions for photoshoots etc other than one shot when they first arrived. Not that it excuses the behaviour anyway.

No, it doesn't excuse what they've done. However I found Piara Powar's comments very unhelpful, criticising Pearson for not having 'passed on' his anti-racism message to his players, or son. That's quite a pinpointed insult, isn't it? I don't remember Gillespie / Dickov / Sinclair's parents, or manager, being criticised and neither should they have been. If the view is now that managers are responsible for their players' out-of-hours behaviour then Wenger would be one of the worst managers in the game, and O'Neill would be up there too. It's rather like blaming the Home Office for not adequately 'spreading the word' every time somebody is banged up. While parading the accused's parents through the street and pelting them with rotten fruit.

Do you think that their parents are proud of them being hookers?

Good discipline from an early age, no matter on ethnicity or race and there is no need for a child to head down that path. Nine times out of ten (merely an estimate, I'm sorry that I didn't have the time to conduct a full statistical analysis of this) parenting, or lack of it is to blame for a child's downfall into drugs, prostitution and the such.

Come on, don't call me arrogant for dismissing some of the posts in this thread as abject stupidity and then come out with something like that.

Your argument might have some validity when talking about prostitutes from the developed, Western world but there's a much, much different situation going on in the further reaches of the world.

Just Google people trafficking and the sex industry and get reading.

If it had been Esteban, Vardy and Schmeichel do you think people would be saying sack them - honestly Babs?

:lei1:

Nope, nowhere near as many.

I said the same the other week about Simpson and got lambasted for that comment though. Not saying that's right, but clubs and fans are more willing to try and find another way around it for someone of value. That's just the way of the world.

I'm never invited abroad so I'm not sure what constitutes a business trip and what doesn't. If my boss went well done here's a fortnight in bognor regis as a thank you, I wouldn't spend my time thinking about work or worrying how by behaviour reflected on them (obviously I'm not a footballer so nobody would be interested anyway ;) ). I'd just think cool thanks free holiday.

Anyway, like I said it doesn't excuse the behaviour and it still reflects badly whether a "business trip" or not.

Not to dwell too much on it but if you go away on a trip thats paid for by your boss and your boss is there, thats pretty much a work trip.

Three young players not near first team = moral high ground!

I was joking of course and just joining in with the stereotype that most of Japan is necking Rhino powder.

I know and I was commenting on the idiots dressed as Rhinos.

Now if you don't mind I have to go rim the Rhino tied up in my garden before eating the shark in my swimming pool - doctor's orders !!!

Would she have said the same about Jose and John Terry? Pearson has made himself an easy target unfortunately.

By no means strictly true. The harshest disciplinarians often produce the most wayward kids. Factors like poverty, failed relationships, family tragedies are all major factors too, bigger factors than good old discipline. All of us get into a position at some point in our lives which could lead us down a dark road, we just tend not to take it.

Well, probably. But I felt she undermined her statement with that accusation.

Didn't you call me naive, young and thick for claiming I knew about the sex-trade?  Oh the irony.

Ha ha that's funny. Don't know where I got the idea it was a woman from.

Don't let the topic of Thailand and Bangkok get the better of you, you stereotype-loving so and so...

This is all about respect (or lack of).

I’ve no objection to a footballer using a prostitute if that’s what turns him on.

It’s the arrogance and superiority with which these lads speak to the girls which is hard to bear.  The very fact that they chose to video the girls whilst humiliating them speaks volumes about the character of these three lads.

A good chunk of our fans are women and young girls. How are they supposed to support and cheer for players who treat women in such a way?

Would I take my little girl to support a team in which any of these three lads were playing? Would I wait outside the stadium and let my daughter take a ‘selfie’ with one of these lads, smiling, with his arm around her?  Would I want any of these 3 City players coming to her school as part of their community role, to take a training session?

No I would not.

There’s only one way this will end and that’s with the release or termination of the players’ contracts.

The only real question for City fans is whether Nigel Pearson will feel able to support the decision to sack his own son, and continue as our Manager.

If Pearson wasn't the one who said the 'slit-eye' comment I doubt he'll be sacked. Probably a fine for him and Smith but Hopper to be sacked.

Pearson is out of contract at the end of the season and now 22 so would have to be played as an overage player in the under-21 team. He may not be sacked but he certainly won't be here next year.

Hopefully Pearson stays well out of it, and lets the process take its course.

His contract expires this summer so I'd expect him to be suspended and then simply released. I'd hope so anyway.

Tom Hopper went to choose his new glasses today.

Pretty girl in the opticians asked, "Would you like them with a rim?"

Let's just say he's now got a life ban from Specsavers
