Ollie93 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 It must be Dumb and Dumber. The term "Far East" is an antiquated term no longer used as it suggests a very Anglo or Eurocentric view of the world (i.e. to those of you from Hinckley this means a closed mind to them people over there or in the language of player X "slit-eyes"). As the "Far East" is inclusive of many diverse countries all with different practices, diets, traditions etc you are clearly generalizing when you link these people with the use of "Rhino" without actually backing up your slur with evidence. At no point in history, past or present, have the Japanese had any relationship with "Rhinos" in terms of medicine or bedroom practices. If the discovery channel is your only source of education it clearly is not working. Imagine how dumb I would sound to you if you were listening to me say what you said. https://www.savetherhino.org/rhino_info/thorny_issues/tackling_the_demand_for_rhino_horn "Throughout the 1970s, Japan was the number one major consumer of rhino horn in Asia"

5waller5 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 You do not put someone on trial without a defence lawter. Even if they were caught in the act a nd witnessed by a thousand people and they admit it. It is the same with dimissal procedures. They will have a rep with them who first has to be contacted and flown out toThailand. They will then have to talk to the players advise them of their rights and how to respond when questioned.and tell them the best outcome It may be they can just ask for a transfer and hope they can find a new club quickly. It will be difficult for them because they will have to face new fans, manager and teamates. Can you imagine the ribbing they will receive in the dressing room and showers? 'Hey (?) lick my bum' etc. And if they have a bad game, the chants from the fans? I am sure some on here could think of some good ones if the situation was reversed and a disgraced player came to City. Totally factually incorrect. They may have the right to a representative - that will be outlined in their contract. It's not a trial it's a disciplinary meeting between employer and employee not trial.
JAPANFOX1 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Thats a load of bollox for a start, i saw it on an idiot abroad, not the discovery channel If that is an attempt at humour then it is comedy gold. If you are being serious then........................... it is comedy gold. This thread is now getting off track. It should not be about Japan or your casual indulgence in racist stereotyping dressed as banter.

Stereotyping people from Hinckley in an attempt to argue why stereotyping is wrong... just wow
davieG Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Poor bloke. Leicester actor Tom Hopper. Leicester actor Tom Hopper has been inundated with Twitter messages after users on the social networking site got him confused with the City player involved in a Thailand sex scandal. Hopper, who was born in Coalville, is probably best known for his role as Sir Percival in BBC show Merlin and has also appeared in Black Sails and film Knights of Badassdom. MC Prussian Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Why the hell are some users using this thread for racial stereotyping?! Either blame the offseason or Richie Wellens.
The_77 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 This story has now hit local papers in the U.S. Ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JAPANFOX1 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Stereotyping people from Hinckley in an attempt to argue why stereotyping is wrong... just wow That is called embedded irony and was intentional. Well done to you sir for calling me out on that one
cullenfox Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Just seen the video. How on earth can the players have been so bloody stupid? It was absolutely disgusting what they were saying. They need to be severely punished. A very heavy fine, a public apology, a lengthy suspension and signing a written statement saying it will not happen again. I don't think sacking them is the solution. Hopefully they'll learn their lesson though.
Wymsey Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I thought Tom Hopper was a big baby, looking at his face on the video.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Totally factually incorrect. They may have the right to a representative - that will be outlined in their contract. It's not a trial it's a disciplinary meeting between employer and employee not trial. Fair enough bad example. I was actually agreeing that procedureshave to be followed. I was careful not include a judge and jury. The rep will advise them and hear their story. They should have knowledge of employment law.My point was that a person has a right to be represented whether it is a criminal, civil or employment case.
Jimothy Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I dont know about anyone else but this whole thing has left a horrible taste in my mouth. So it's you in the video with Tom Hopper!!!
ScouseFox Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I dont know about anyone else but this whole thing has left a horrible taste in my mouth. all woman 3 can taste is Tom hoppers gooch so count yourself lucky It's a ridiculous male fantasy that a large number, maybe even the majority, of women in the sex trade are there because they think it's a great life choice and they love it because they're absolute sluts. I don't know why you're even bothering arguing with the sort of moronic knuckledraggers that actually believe that shit. They're too ****ing retarded to read your point and absorb it. some women do love it
Larry_LCFC Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 They should all be made to lick each others arses and that branded around on the Internet. Maybe then they'll understand the humiliation of those women.
sylofox Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I'm glad that our disgust, as a group of supporter as a whole, has been reported though. Its important for the clubs image that no one representing the club (staff and fans) is seen to try and make excuses for what they've done Had any Hack wanted to make this look worse than it already is they could have. There are enough comments left on here that would make us look like morons. They could have put some of the so called jokey comment and a headline Foxes think this is a joke.

I don't think sacking them is the solution. Hopefully they'll learn their lesson though. A heavy fine and suspension? How much money are we talking? They are not first team players, so they are probably on GBP5,000 a week max? Fine them 3 months wages GBP60,000? And a suspension from what? They are not first team. Neither punishments seem severe enough. They should be sacked.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 The women were there as consenting adults. And were presumably paid for their services Not sure how they were forced to do things that they didn't want to do

They'll be League two salaries I imagine

Maximum 2 weeks wages is the only fine the club can impose.

"I promise to never no not ever go to Thailand on a business trip and end up in a hotel room naked with two other blokes and three local ladies. I also promise to never no not ever have one of the above mentioned ladies lick my arse while the two said blokes watch in a state of arousal. Finally, I promise to never no not ever have the whole episode videotaped and then sent over the Internet to my best mate who I met in a pub two weeks ago".......
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Some of the 'I am disgusted' comments are just what the tabloids want. Sell more papers to Joe Public that way which will increase the 'I am disgusted' 'Should not be allowed' 'It would not happen in my day' 'Ooh these young people today, no manners'
Merging Cultures Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 They wont be on anything near 5k a week. They'll be League two salaries I imagine Yeah, you are probably right. Maximum 2 weeks wages is the only fine the club can impose. I forgot about that stupid rule. Goes to show a fine will mean nothing.
