5waller5 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 You cant grant them an appeal without a hearing first. And you cant have a hearing if you've already sacked them. Sloppy language when i said "grant them an appeal" ... Invite them, and if contract allows a rep, to a disciplinary meeting. Disciplinary hearing / meeting ..... Sack them in that. Confirm findings and decision in writing with details of how to appeal.
Nick Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Not sure where to start with all this. Unsurprised that football boys on tour in Thailand engaged in paying for sex and casual racism despite all the underpinning reasons why this was wholly inappropriate on a number of levels. What is so astoundingly ignorant is that they were knowingly filmed whilst doing it. I mean really, how dense do you have to be? Get rid on that basis alone.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Whether the trip was business or a paid holiday they are still employeesof the cub and are guests in their employer's country so therefore need to show respect whilst there.
Ollie93 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I'd make the three of them sit down and watch the video back with the girls parents, armed with complete translation and a blunt instrument of their choosing. See if they think it's acceptable behaviour then. Because you'd want to see your daughter doing that on video wouldn't you.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Because you'd want to see your daughter doing that on video wouldn't you. I'd like think it would be obvious that I'm not being entirely serious, there. That said, this is foxestalk, I can appreciate how that would be unclear.
5waller5 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Is it though? Or are the owners just giving people a free holiday. I've not seen press about them doing functions for photoshoots etc other than one shot when they first arrived. Not that it excuses the behaviour anyway. I think the fact that only employees attended would make it a professional capacity ... however I don't even think it would be necessary to distinguish the difference - they are ambassadors of the club at all times and would be shocked if this wasn't in their contract of employment.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 It was a work trip. I'm never invited abroad so I'm not sure what constitutes a business trip and what doesn't. If my boss went well done here's a fortnight in bognor regis as a thank you, I wouldn't spend my time thinking about work or worrying how by behaviour reflected on them (obviously I'm not a footballer so nobody would be interested anyway ). I'd just think cool thanks free holiday. Anyway, like I said it doesn't excuse the behaviour and it still reflects badly whether a "business trip" or not.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Has it been proven they are prostitutes or are we all just assuming it because they're Thai? I mentioned that earlier and was told we should assume they are... other people are also assuming they are forced into prostitution
chapero82 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I am more shocked that people on here think it's ok! I thought we had moved on from racism
BoneDog Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Oh dear..... Unfortunately, there are morons with moronic ideas in every country. I was joking of course and just joining in with the stereotype that most of Japan is necking Rhino powder.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I am more shocked that people on here think it's ok! I thought we had moved on from racism I'm not sure anyone has excused the racism one bit.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I mentioned that earlier and was told we should assume they are... other people are also assuming they are forced into prostitution I think it's just too much of a stretch for people to believe that the three of them actually used their charming manner to seduce these young women and then subject them to ridicule.
Ollie93 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I'd like think it would be obvious that I'm not being entirely serious, there. That said, this is foxestalk, I can appreciate how that would be unclear. Are you calling everyone on Foxestalk a fool?
chapero82 Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I'm not sure anyone has excused the racism one bit. people are saying it's not that bad etc so they are clearly thinking calling somebody the names they were is ok!
Wymsey Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I hope 'Kick It Out' haven't read this thread, based on some ridiculous comments.

I guess if it was just you that went then that would be more of a "holiday" in that example. But if you took all you work mates with you, paid for by your boss?
SecretPro Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I am more shocked that people on here think it's ok! I thought we had moved on from racism See all them fat, balding, pissed up geezers with their fake burberry caps flapping their arms apart whilst looking like they've swallowed a wasp on match days? Yeah, looks like they have invaded foxestalk.
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 You have absolutely zero knowledge what so ever. You come across as, at best, childish and naive and, at worst, thick. What, you've been on a holiday to Thailand and you now know everything about the sex trade? You have literally no statistics, evidence, anecdotal or otherwise, yet you feel qualified to discredit two of the most travelled adults in this community, based on what? I'd do yourself a favour and wind your neck in a little, personally. This is why I despise Foxestalk so much at times, totally arrogant response. No doubt though Finners, that you are the sort to state that this being a forum that all opinions are valid.Ollie93 unwind your neck fella.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I mentioned that earlier and was told we should assume they are... other people are also assuming they are forced into prostitution We're not presuming they are prostitutes purely on the basis that they are thai (they could actually come from several countries in that area). But the fact they are engaged in a rather sordid gang bang, in an area well known for high levels of prostitution. They might not be, but it's not really a stretch to think they are.
RonnieTodger Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Why are people acting like they're embarrassed/ashamed to support Leicester because this? No-one from the club has condoned it and it's highly likely that they'll be sacked (surely?!). None of these 3 weirdos have contributed towards our great run to stay up. You haven't been singing their name or getting it printed on the back of the shirt. Leicester City had no chance of knowing they'd do this. They're 21-22 years old, they can't be under constant surveillance. What they've done is disgraceful, but it's them at fault and them only.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I am more shocked that people on here think it's ok! I thought we had moved on from racism I thought we lived in the 21st century not the old 'Britain rules the waves' colonial days.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Are you calling everyone on Foxestalk a fool? No, I'm not, although a very large number are absolutely retarded. I was implying that this is a venue of some absolutely brilliantly diverse and obscure opinions and it would be dangerous to merely assume anyone here was merely joking when making a flippant comment like the one I just made.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 people are saying it's not that bad etc so they are clearly thinking calling somebody the names they were is ok! I think that debate has revolved around the other comments and the acts, rather than the racial side of it. If anyone has said that I've not seen it.
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I'd make the three of them sit down and watch the video back with the girls parents, armed with complete translation and a blunt instrument of their choosing. See if they think it's acceptable behaviour then. Poor parenting leads to poor children more often than not. Perhaps the parents need a seeing to with a blunt instrument of choice? Which tool would you select?
