Thai Flag outside our ground...

You could try asking the councils that ban the George cross when a world cup is on.

Which ones? I'm guessing from your comment you must know where and when this has happened.

I reckon people would have complained more if Mandaric had put a Serbian flag outside our ground.

He wouldn't have been able to afford one in the first place.

Nah I'm sure he's got a mate in Novi Sad that can knock one up cheap, special price my friend.

Many in the past have done it Basildon that springs to mind.

Also many tournaments the press have reported of councils telling shop and pub owners to take down the GC as it may offend minorities.

It is nothing new been happening for 20yrs.

Not too fussed about the Thai flag as long as the Union flag flies alongside it.  However I believe that is required by law.  If a foreign states flag is flown from a pole then a Union flag of equal size has to be flown alongside it.  From what I can tell the Thai flag is larger than the Union flag...which is illegal...just saying.

Perfectly correct, the Union flag should be flown to the left which it is , and all national flags flown alongside each other must be the same width, ie top to bottom..

The LCFC flag should be to the right with the Thai flag in the middle, national flags always take precedence over "house flags". Currently the Thai flag is "disrespected" in respect of the LCFC flag.

Incidentally, anyone now if they are lowered at the end of the day. Vary poor etiquette if left up all night.

Well I guess they could change what colour we play in if that would be better?

We have good owners

They already have....We are playing in blue shorts next season with a Gold trim ( Gold on the shirts also ) ... The colour Gold represents the royal family of Thailand .... So we have changed our strip to meet the marketing and promotion desires of our owners in Thailand.

Yes agreed, bottom line we do have good owners but im becoming increasingly uncomfortable of the ebbing away of the identity of our Football club.

Nonsense. Gold isn't a royal colour in Thailand. Yellow yes, but our kits are clearly not yellow. We've had gold on our kits for decades.

What a weapon.

You go to Cardiff or Leeds fans and tell them how angry you are that our owners have a flag outside the ground, I'm sure they will sympathise!

This.

FFS it's a friggin flag!!! Does it really bother people that much!!  It's not as if they are invading the country and the flag represents they have gained control over the city of Leicester!! It's only a bloody flag for god sake!! Some peeps really need to chill out!

I'm just glad we stayed up, especially after the election as well. I can browse foxestalk without popping pills.

The owners have always been very respectful of our history and Identity! They are just adding their small mark to it to represent their era! Surely we can accept a bit of gold here and there!! Especially as part of their reason is the luck they believe is associated with the colour gold!

Are we that sensitive that if someone has an opinion as innocuous as disliking gold trim or questioning a Thai flag being outside our ground, people scream "racist"?

Why is it that we have to have a Thai flag outside our ground.....Its like they have planted it there stating we have been conquered.

There is no stars and stripes outside Old Trafford or Anfield....No Russian flag outside Stamford Bridge or any other foreign flags flying

at English football clubs that have become foreign owners new play things......So why us ??????

Yes I know that most City fans think the owners are fab and all that, but it just gripes the hell out of me that our stadium is named after a Thai Duty free business and that statement of a flag is outside.....

'The King Power' .... do me a favour ... 'Filbert Way' please and take that dam flag down.

We have been conquered - it's disgusting.

You know we've got Thai monks blessing our dressing rooms before every match, right?

These monks are coming over here and taking jobs of the proper Lestah monks.

You remember the Monastery House on Filbert Way? Gone mate - now it's the 'King Power' the local monks were exiled and are now living in shared accommodation just off the Saff.

You've gotta watch em, zante before it's too late and we're all eating green curry and chilli fish cakes on match day with no pukka's in sight.

i'm not suggesting racism - just that we chill out a bit. Are people seriously really that bothered about a bit of gold or a flag when these guys -good good guys have gone about revolutionalising our club in the most respectful manner! Top fell in love with our club when he watched us beat Middlesborough in the 2000 league cup final. Thai people have a great sense of tradition and that extends to not destroying ours but doing little things to put their mark on our club, which in itself builds our brand in Thailand and the east which itself generates income that helps us grow and establish ourselves as a global brand. Isn't this what we ALL want ?

At a minimum it is xenophobic.
