MattyFromLE Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 After all the Thais have done for us - I seriously struggle to find any issue with this whatsoever.
ithuriel Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Two posts and that's one of them, wonder which club they are really from?
The_77 Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 I know this is a ridiculous post, but I'm actually going to be a pedant and use the examples you used against your own argument. Manchester United's chairmen may be Americans, but if they're going to put a flag at Old Trafford, the most appropriate one would be whatever the Cayman Islands use. As for Stamford Bridge, Chelsea Pitch Owners might have a thing or two to say about anything put up in, on, or around the ground. Perhaps there's a Thailand flag at the King Power Stadium because the stadium is owned by a Thai company run by Thais? I'll tell you one thing: there sure as hell aren't any English investors willing to pony up the money required to buy the ground, name it, and raise their own flags, let along run the entire club. Next time you see a Thai flag at King Power Stadium, don't think of it as a "conquest"--think of it as a reminder that the loans required to build this stadium almost killed the club, and that the debts owed on this stadium forced the club to abandon any ambition for almost a decade. Also, use it to remember that on March 1, 2013, the owners bought the stadium and killed those cursed stadium debts. Life at Leicester City seems a hell of a lot better since then. Guest Cujek Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 They can fly their underpants if they want to, after what they have done for our club.
LCCFox96 Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 They own the football, they are good to the fans, player, staff and everyone involved at the football club, they are Thai and they are proud to be Thai - what's the issue with them having a flag outside?
Jacnah Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 They can fly their underpants if they want to, after what they have done for our club. like your style Cujek Theyre great owners. We're lucky and all but a minority of us fully recognise it
PaulW Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 You don't HAVE to be an idiot to start a thread on here, but bugger, it sure helps!
lifted*fox Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 The internet - giving stupid people a voice since 1991.
Rich Fox Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Not bothered in the slightest, nice to have Union Jack also though. Can we have some Thai food in the ground please as well as pies and burgers?
MPH Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Why is it that we have to have a Thai flag outside our ground.....Its like they have planted it there stating we have been conquered. There is no stars and stripes outside Old Trafford or Anfield....No Russian flag outside Stamford Bridge or any other foreign flags flying at English football clubs that have become foreign owners new play things......So why us ?????? Yes I know that most City fans think the owners are fab and all that, but it just gripes the hell out of me that our stadium is named after a Thai Duty free business and that statement of a flag is outside..... 'The King Power' .... do me a favour ... 'Filbert Way' please and take that dam flag down. And yet you have your location set as Athens.....
cambridgefox Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Think it's been at half mast for the last week. Really don't care. All those British run bars in Zante with the Union Jack Flags and signs.Have a word.

It's part of the sponsorship deal ....no different than wonga all over newcastles St James park
Livid Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 They could wrap the entire stadium in the Thai flag for me and I wouldn't be bothered.

One with a LCFC crest and one with a thai flag. The owners have a right to call the ground whatever they like within reason as they've paid for the privilege. Now get back to your hole.
Brooksy Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 It's ok... there's also a Union flag Why do we even need flags? Absolutely pointless, should take them all down
stripeyfox Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 So, you have your answer. Almost no one gives a flying toss that a Thai flag flies at the ground. Seriously, if this is all you have to worry about then good for you. But you come across as being a complete tool.
moocat Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 So flag or no flag why haven't those no mark boys pretending to be men not resigned yet. They have added insult to injury by hanging on and hoping it will all blow over with one pitiful apology and a sneaky return to England. If they were actual grown ups they would acknowledge the sheer contempt many fans and presumably the owners have for them and leave. So gaing a tiny modicum of respect and drawing a line under it for all of us. Instead they cling pitifully on, their own shoddy careers more important than the club they supposedly want to play for.
BigMicky Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Who would have thought it, The Bangkok British Club flys the union flag outside. Nothing like national pride wherever you are in the world.I'm pleased the Thai flag is flying high and proud outside of our club, couldn't wish for better owners.

Wymsey Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 They can fly their underpants if they want to, after what they have done for our club. Found these after cleaning-up the area where the owner sits at the last game. Think they're Top's.
iancognito Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 So at Hull, they're changing the name. At Cardiff they've changed the colours. Pompey, Leeds and Blackpool have all been screwed royally and repeatedly relegated. At Leicester, you're bothered because they've put up a flag? You know if I invest $100 million+ in a club, keep it afloat and bring success and three seasons of good times, the least I'd do is put a flag up and I prefer King Power over the Walkers crisp bowl every single time. Enjoy your summer.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 We are owned by very respectable and respectful Thai owners who run the club faultlessly. They wish to represent Thailand outside the stadium with a Thai flag next to the club flag and our country's flag. How the hell does anyone find a problem with this? We'd be absolutely buggered if it weren't for them
