However, not sure about 7 million on downing would have thought closer to the fee of Huth about 3/4 million. He seems overpriced for his age but that's probably in part due to him being English

I can say that because we have very shrewd businessmen in charge and a very shrewd manager. We're not taking about Mad Mandy and ****face Taylor here. Mostly it is because the guys worrying about transfer fees are playing Football Manager and compare what they have to spend in the game. Not real life!!

We don't really need to bump up our amount of English players and surely there's better, hungrier players out there for half/quarter of that? He's a hot and cold player who turns up a couple of times a season and everyone thinks he's actually going to be decent. Too late now IMO.

A few years ago I would have said he would be well worth the money. i would lover to see some younger talent come in and im sure nige and the scouts could find some1 that's younger and just as good!!!
