ozleicester Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Just thinking about our squad for this season and who im really hoping to see improve or shine. (a great opportunity to have this thread dragged up in 9 months time and laughed at ) Kram - I think he has a real talent, and the couple of runs he had have given him a feel for the league, think he might be player of the year. Drinky - hoepfully will step up and become a regular and quality midfielder that he promises to be. Schlupp - had a great season last year, but was very inconsistent, hoping that this year he will become the very good player he can be... consistently. on the other hand, those that cant really shine .... Cambiasso - (assuming we get him) one of the best ever, would be a big ask for him to be as influential again Huth - High expectations and if he does as well as last season that will be just fine with me. Vards - Cant imagine him having a better season than the last one.. i love the guy, but 14/15 must be a dream for him.
Aus Fox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 The will be the season of Jeff! Really coming along and will shine this season! Early call for player of the year.

I have to disagree about Vardy, up until the last dozen games or so, he'd had one good game. Now he seems to have got to grips with the Premier League, I think he'll get even better. Assuming Ranieri rates him and plays him of course.
Blue army boys Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 This is Schlupp season. Was forever improving last year, him signing a new contract was a big deal for the club.

Fair point, i guess i was looking just at the end... good news then
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Kramaric. Got big hopes for him this season if he sees game time
les-tah Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Agree with Kramaric, i think he will be like a new signing and will be a worldie next season. in the other posts in other threads when people have been doing there suspected starting 11s etc hardly anyone is putting Kramaric in, people are really forgetting how good he can be.
Edingleyfox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Kram greatest potential class player followed by Jeff who must be the most improved player last year Vardy if he gets a couple of goals early on to kick start things although people know more about him now

I agree. We saw glimpses of it last season. This time round, he'll be fitter, had a full pre season and will be champing at the bit. I hope he plays.
kingcarr21 Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I said after he scored against QPR he will be the player to watch out for next season. Fancy him to bag double figures.
Guest Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Yeah expect huge improvement from Kramaric. Think Albrighton will be superb (as he was for the back end of last season when NFP gave him a crack) and as long as the tinkerman plays him I expect him to go close to our player of the year.
lgfualol Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Mahrez. A season without the AFCON and no world cup before the season starts will make a big difference and see him perform better than last season. 2nd: Kram
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I'd like to think Vardy will have a belter. He had his adjustment season in the Champ then ran riot the following season, adjustment again last season but looked fantastic in the run-in - I think he'll do well
Clever Fox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 All of the above should show well this season. Who's going to play full back Schlupp or Futch. It could make a difference to how Schlupp performs. I think he plays better knowing someone is behind him. Also don't forget Kasper. Hopefully he will continue in the same level of form he finished the season in. He was amazing and took his game to a new level we hadn't seen before.
fleckneymike Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Hopefully the most exciting player hasn't signed yet
Kent Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I have to disagree about Vardy, up until the last dozen games or so, he'd had one good game. I think Vardy is the sort of the player that could be in trouble if Ranieri has no preference for nationality. He's pretty raw and nowhere near as much of a cultured player as Kramaric for example. Then again if that does happen and Kram puts them in I don't really care.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Hopefully the most exciting player hasn't signed yetI hope you are right FleckersAlthough I also agree with other posters that Vardy Krammy and Mahrez should hopefully shine aswell
fox123 Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 With the vision he has for a pass and chipping in with a few goals I think Mahrez will have his best season for us.
les-tah Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 yeah Mahrez is exciting no Idea where he plays whether he tries that more central role... Also Albrighton was a revelation towards the end of last year... keep forgetting hes only 25 and can still improve loads.

Really keen to see how he carries on, towards the end of last season he was quality.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Personally I think you know what you get with Albrighton. Bags of effort and a delicious cross. With Kram I guess I'm not knowing what to expect. But excited by the prospect.
EGBFitness Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Why does everyone overly rate Kram for? I'm not saying I don't think he has potential but I think he gets over hyped a little for scoring goals in a league 2 standard division. He has made some very poor decisions in front of goal and pulled the same trick every time. I hope he does come on leaps and bounds this season and like I said can get somewhere in his career but feel people rate him a little too high with little shown so far
