Good luck charm

I wouldn't normally do this - but I've just got back from London, I'm deliriously happy about the start of the season and am pissed out my brain (didn't want to post this on the main LCFC bit as it's not directly about the team).

I love Foxestalk and all you who post here – and thought I'd share something about me.

My son, Jack, was born five weeks early in March through an emergency caesarean. There were a number of complications but – following a very hairy start, a lot of worry and a couple of weeks in SCBU – he pulled through and has been doing well ever since we got him home.

The thing is, since his birth, our record in the Premier League is:

Won 9

Drawn 2

Lost 2

Goals scored 28
Goals conceded 14

In other words, little Jack is clearly a good luck charm for us! He's also genuinely fixated with the LCFC logo. Whenever he is losing his mind, all I need to do is get a Leicester shirt out and let him chew on the Foxes logo and he calms down.

He also loves watching football on TV or on laptop. The picture below is of us watching the home game against Sunderland to which I couldn't get tickets for.

The point of me posting this was that I wanted to share with you how proud I was to have produced another future LCFC fan for the future.

Very proud to be a Leicester fan. Always have and always will be. Hope everybody enjoyed today – lets get ready for Spurs!

Here's Jack. Long may he be our good luck charm.

COYF!

PS. I'm pissed, so please take this post for what it is – an emotional response to our first win in the capital for I don't how bloody long!

So it's actually nothing to do with Rachel Riley or my lucky blue pants?

Don't I feel the fool.

Seriously though mate, glad he's all good after being premature

The look on his face says he was just as worried as me by our defending, that match.  :P

Seriously though, that must have been an awful time for you and I'm glad your little fighter pulled through!

I was feeling a bit despondent before last season's West Ham game so had my wife set me up with a banana daiquiri and a nice mixed leaf vegan salad and enjoyed it just before the match while she gave me a toe rub.

Been doing the same on match days ever since!

Congratulations and I don’t see why it shouldn't be in the lcfc forum.

Glad Jack is doing well and bet your looking forward to taking him down the KP when he's a bit bigger, hopefully City are a top 6 side then.....

Great news and I thought it was my lucky baseball cap, bought on the morning of West Ham at home (still be wearing it just in case)

Try and get your missus up the duff again. We're going to need even more luck for next year's champion league campaign.

Thanks for the lovely messages! Can only just remember writing the post last night, what a day!

Would like to add that I genuinely value Foxestalk – and all you lunatics within it – so a big thanks to those who take the time to run it. Not sure you're given credit often enough.

Living where I do, the chat is always about Arsenal, Luton or Watford so this place keeps me sane. And drives me mad at the same time.

Here's to a successful season and regards from Jack!

Stevenage FC?...

You know what, for some reason - perhaps due to them being a relatively recent addition to the FL - there doesn't seem to be many Stevenage fans around. I know exactly one!

Great story with a happy ending but Jack needs his own full kit so get down to the club shop, with prem badges, name and number as well. ;)

Lets see what Santa brings him... :chant:
