Goals on Sunday.. Guest, Nigel Pearson!

I think what some are missing is it's possible to be both grateful to Pearson and also happy he's gone, as I am, I didn't think he would take us forward and we'd be in for a similar season to last year though it would be far less likely for the improbable run at the end to save us.

Ranieri seems to be more tactically astute and more decisive when changes are needed.

Make your mind up. You wasn't that complimentary of Ranieri's tactics in the other topic!

So good to hear from big Nige. Thanks for everything again. What a great manager he was for our club, such a shame  he left in the circumstances he did. Like he said, he was and still is surprised, so this suggests it was a decision taken ad hoc by the owners.

Now on to the future, I wish him all the best. Who ever he manages next will be getting an outstanding manager. I would also love him to get the england job later in his career.

This sums up the class of the man:

"I suppose it is my chance as well to thank the fans of Leicester.

I have been there twice, two decent, good spells, and haven't really had a chance to thank them on the either occasion when I have left. So thanks for the support."

The bloke is and will all always be a self obsessed twat, best thing he could do is take a job at Forest so that the Nigel love in finally stops or the blind disciples of his can fook of and support Forest with him.

Rant over .

Do you really support Leicester?. Surely you must have hated the success that he brought to our football club. You must be a Forest or Derby season ticket holder.

Are you surprised?

Many wanted him gone before the season started.

Could we get a list of these many people who wanted Ranieri sacked before a game had been played?

Quite nice from a guy who took over a League 1 club, in absolute freefall, and left 7 years later with them looking to consolidate themselves as an established PL side.

We must move on, however.

They dont need to be as blunt as to say "I want Ranieri sacked" in their post as to show they clearly had no backing for the man.

And many still dont.

Pearson was a very good manager for us no doubt. I hope he does well somewhere else as he seems a very genuine bloke. Nothing but support for his players.

Who knows what would have happened if he stayed.

Ranieri is doing well, I hope we as fans continue to support him and team through December, where we could end up losing 6 on the bounce.

Am I the only one who rarely sees any of this supposed hate for Pearson? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen the posts calling for Ranieri to be fired, insulting him, and belittling everything he does though, surely.

Who said he should be sacked?

Because there's no debate to be had. He was an excellent manager for us and what's happening now is a continuation of the groundwork he laid for us; much as Mourinhos work at chelsea first time round built on that of Ranieri. Anyone still stubborn enough to refuse to admit Pearson did a good job is a bit of a twat - there's no argument to be had there.

100% this. Genuinely have no idea how a small minority of our fans have such contempt for a man who has dragged our club out of the doldrums and into te position we find ourselves in now. Bizarre

Everybody just flip flops here in the most stupid fashion. Grow up everyone.

People criticise Ranieri to the n'th degree but because theyve never been so blunt as to say SACK HIM NOW in capital letters it absolves them of all their twattishness

Love the way ive said on just about every post i make i appreciate everything Pearson did as a manager, and yet i am always the one dug out as a vehement Pearson hater.

Thats the foxestalk logic for you though.

Every manager should be open to criticism. Pearson got bashed most weeks but you weren't allowed to call them twats as they're entitled to their opinion no matter how ridiculous their arguements were

You predicted we would finish the season in 20th position so that was hardly a glowing endorsement of the man.

Who said he should be sacked?

At least one person in the match thread yesterday, I didn't take a note of the name.

Found it - ealingfox, page 12, "we are a mess. Ranieri out."

How about digging up MattP?

He was typically arrogant in his criticism of everything from the owners being complete idiots to Ranieri being a managerial fraud too.

Pathetic.

Mark_w still isn't over Pearson leaving. He can hardly make a post without mentioning his name!

I'm still here Donut. I don't hide.

We've had a fantastic start and long may it continue, but I've seen this before (most notibily Taylor) so I'll hold judgement.

You don't need to dig me up, I'll be here to defend the opinions I've made, unlike others who have vanished.

One of several who are desperately waiting for us to lose a game before their 'triumphant' return. Let's hope we keep them waiting even longer lol

Edit haha speak of the devil, fair play

Lets dig up "EalingFox" who, on page 12 of the Stoke match thread declared:

"Ranieri out. We are a mess"

Despite having 11 points from 5 and being unbeaten all season.

That was ironic

That was ironic

I doubt it

What about the guy who branded Ranieri a "tactical genius" at 2-0 down. Said in jest was it?
