foxfanazer Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Dunno was busy and not sitting reading a match thread. Depends who said it, I find it pretty obvious who posts things in jest/a sarcastic manner.Nah it was TBJS and he's always deadly serious
Donut Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Dunno was busy and not sitting reading a match thread. Depends who said it, I find it pretty obvious who posts things in jest/a sarcastic manner. Well considering 5 pages earlier he said "shambles" and then 2 pages later said "without Pearson, youre going to take some hammerings" id have thought it was fairly obvious that this wasnt in a sarcastic manner wouldnt you?
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 You predicted we would finish the season in 20th position so that was hardly a glowing endorsement of the man. At least one person in the match thread yesterday, I didn't take a note of the name. Found it - ealingfox, page 12, "we are a mess. Ranieri out." Mark w had us finishing 20th? Says it all...
Donut Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 There were people shouting Ranieri out in the Villa match thread. They quickly dried up. Selected quotes: "Ranieri is shit" "Sort this out Ranieri you fvck" "Utter utter shit" "Dreadful, absolutely dreaful, Ranieri OUT" "Get back to 3-5-2 you TWAT" Lets all pretend that everyone is right behind Ranieri. Yeah lets do that.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Not sure how people can argue that at the minute very little has changed from last season, which is why people say it is 'Pearson's side' etc. Credit to Claudio for not changing things too quickly in terms of imprinting his style of play too soon, but it is in essence the exact same style of play with quick counter attacking from the wide areas and forward players getting in behind, with the midfielders looking to get the ball forward early. What I am slightly worried about is Claudio's signings (Inler and Benny) seem to have struggled in their brief introduction to the premier league, in particular Inler whose style of play seems so ill fitting with our current set up. I expect Claudio in time to attempt to imprint his style of play on us, which would require bringing in players who are better in possession that what we currently have, which will be the true test of Claudio's ability as a coach and a manager. At the minute he is expertly steering a juggernaut which formed at the end of last year, and doing it in style with charm and charisma.

Yeah lets do that. Whilst i'm not saying it's right there were many of the 'anti' Pearson brigade who never gave him any credit for the good things or acknowledged the good work he did but yet when it was going wrong it was all of a sudden down to him and solely his fault. All i'm saying is there were devides and always has been devides, probably always will be, it's people opinion's and people tend to be stubborn, it's hard to argue with facts but that's they way it is.
Corky Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 I don't read the match threads so thanks for letting me know what was said. I would hope it's just reactionary to the immediate situation. Some will be ironic, some will mean it. Can't help but feel the press reaction to Ranieri is influencing some views.
RonnieTodger Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Wow someone needs to say "move on and support Ranieri", I don't think anyone has yet.
Countryfox Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Wow someone needs to say "move on and support Ranieri", I don't think anyone has yet. Course we all support CR but he hasn't really had to do much yet except keep the pot boiling .... The love hate thing with Pearson is because of the way he left ... If we were doing crap then fair enough but the manner of his leaving was hard to swallow when we were doing so well so emotions are high ... People who slag him off are trying to make themselves feel better by belittleing what he achieved. Let's hope CR does take us to the next level so the pain of Pearsons departure goes away for good ... If he does do well I will buy him one of those big supreme pizzas ... There, that should get him going !!

In CR defence all of our recent points have been gained during match time after he has made tactical adjustments - something NP rarely did at the right time (not a NP hater just saying)
ARTY_FOX Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 In CR defence all of our recent points have been gained during match time after he has made tactical adjustments - something NP rarely did at the right time (not a NP hater just saying) But he wouldn't need to keep making these changes if he sent us out to play fast attacking football from the start
Max Power Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 But he wouldn't need to keep making these changes if he sent us out to play fast attacking football from the start Like Sunderland and West Ham where we had great first halves?
Jimmy Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 But he wouldn't need to keep making these changes if he sent us out to play fast attacking football from the start the point he made was it wouldn't be working and Nigel would wait too long to change it, Claudio spots it and changes far quicker. and I doubt he tells them to play slow and not attack either
ARTY_FOX Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 the point he made was it wouldn't be working and Nigel would wait too long to change it, Claudio spots it and changes far quicker. and I doubt he tells them to play slow and not attack either It looks like he is asking them to have a slower build up and look to keep possession more to me tbh. I'm not having a dig at ranieri I'm just saying he's trying to change what's working until we go behind.
Frank to be Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Pot kettle. In what way? I was a vocal supporter of Pearson even during our bad run last season. I didn't post much on here then, but the few posts I did make were almost all in support of Pearson. I now support ranieri, not because I prefer him over Pearson but because he's the manager of Leicester City and I support Leicester City not Nigel Pearson.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 That was ironic IT'S LIKE RAAAAAIIIN

The team is actually very different with no Wasyl, no Matty James, little of Ulloa, no Kramaric, the introduction of Okazaki, Inler, Kante and to a lesser extent Dyer and Benny. The formation is totally different, we haven't touched the 352 Pearson favoured at the end of last season and that has a considerable effect on the roles in the team. I suppose every win will be credited by some to Pearson though, perhaps even every goal scored will be a Pearson goal, while every goal conceded and defeat will all be to do with Ranieri's growing influence.
Bettsj2 Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 So was he any good on Goals on Sunday then?
