TMELcfc Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Woke up this morning and despite it being Arsenal, this losing feeling is horrible... Forgot how it felt! But I am disappointed we didn't make it harder for Arsenal. They had far too much room and space, it was embarrassing. From an Italian tactical genius, I was not impressed by the tactics. Norwich away now will be all that much more difficult, unless we change personal or formation.

CollinsLCFC Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 To be honest, I left the ground with my head held high and still felt positive. As everyone says, the scoreline does not reflect our performance. The atmosphere was great throughout. It was amazing to see our fans come to life after every goal that went in and you could see our support rub off on the players. 1,2,3 goals down we gave it our all and so did the lads on the pitch. We lost our first game of the season to a very impressive Arsenal side, and we still caused them problems. It was a fantastic game of football and one of the most enjoyable thrashings against us I have watched. I wonder if there has ever been a 2-5 defeat for any home team where the players still get clapped off the way they did. Just a massive shame all of the players shown their gratitude after 90 mins by clearing off and not clapping us back. That for me was the most disappointing part of the day. Lets carry on how we have been and take the momentum to Norwich and leap over the next hurdle. Up the city.

After the match was over, the consensus was that Leicester was simply outclassed by a team that was on form. It easily, easily could have been a different game. Cech played quite well. No one faulted Leicester's work rate or effort level, which I think would be the real worrisome things.

People are criticising Mahrez but he had two or three top quality players on him every time he got the ball. If we let in 5 next Saturday, I'd be concerned .

Once we were 1-0 up we should have slammed the door shut and defended our lead.... Arsenal picked us off so easily....yes it's excitong to watch but we need some clean sheets
Gerard Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 It was five and could have been ten but we competed and threatened for a lot of that match. We were naive I thought getting involved in an end to end game with a side like Arsenal with pace to burn up front. Nothing too much too worry about but the defence shouldn'r be so high up the pitch and the midfield should be closer to the defence when we don't have the ball.

Why are you talking about Hammond when we already have a player in Kante who looks like an international, whilst Hammond has plied his trade in the lower leagues? (And there is a reason for that imo).

Babylon Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 Love how Benalouane is now the saviour after being absolutely slaughtered pre West Ham. A game in which it all worked out for him, but he had a rush of blood to the head every now and again and nearly cost us a few times.

JacktheGooner Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 The bare scoreline might say 'thrashing' but it really didn't feel like it from the away end, could have been 2-0 or 3-1 after 15 mins. Credit to Ranieri and the team for having the balls to have a go rather than park the bus or kick us (see Newcastle). You were unfortunate to meet Alexis on the day he got his mojo back. Big up to your fans for supporting their team and letting us have a drink in a decent local Blue pub with good humour, if you could sort out the M1 around Luton it would be the perfect away day. Good luck for the rest of the season (and do us a favour and take some points off United, City and Chelsea).
