A lot of this forum has some amazing posts, and some bizzare that make me feel the poster has never kicked a ball (or player) in anger. So to take my mind off the result I'd like to know who's played this beautiful game and understands the basics and the nuances of 11 men working together.

This link may help:

I'll start but it's not that impressive, I'm sure you could trump me. Central holding midfield for 11 years Sat and 8 years Sun.

Scored about 2 goals a year Sat, but several on Sunday.

Sat: all the way up to the 15th tier

Sunday Morning: bottom of the pile with all the other pissed up kids sleeping in their cars outside the ground getting woken up by a knock on the window. (seemed to play better when hungover) but I was in my twenties.

Played my best at 31 and then started to exaggerate how good I was.

Lutterworth Juniors and Youth under 15's captain. Scored 5 in a 15-1 win over Charnwood back in '86. Then broke my leg in 3 places and never fully recovered. Could have been a contender! Does this qualify me to have a considered opinion on FoxesTalk lol

Began as a striker for Kegworth Imps U16
Trials at both Mansfield Town and Quorn F.C
Hold a goal per game ratio for Loughborough Falcons 06/07
Mainly found at 6-a-side leagues these days on a Sunday due to severe loss of fitness
Have played and scored in all three divisions of Leisure Leagues King Ed along with two promotions.

I'm down at Newbridge at the moment but the league is fading there, Hermo is a good league from what I've heard.

Played for best team in my age group in York for 4 years. I played with Sam Byram and Charlie Taylor who are both now first teamers at Leeds. A Leeds scout asked about me once apparently but I was never anywhere near good enough.

Stopped playing when I was 15 because I preferred watching Leicester.

Played 300 plus games for Manchester United before representing England 26 times. Played and scored in a World Cup and euro championship. Inter Milan? Turned them down mate. Retired and went on to manage Everton and Spurs.

Oh this is a serious question?!? I thought we were taking the p1ss :-)

Got signed for Leicester because they thought I was a football prodigy and touted me to hit the big time. Didn't go to plan as it turned out I wasn't very capable of kicking a football and now my life in is disarray as I got deported and sit on the bench for Sporting Cristal in the Peruvian league.

Senior league, District league, North Leicestershire league, City league, Alliance league, Hinckley Sunday league, Leicester Sunday league. If you played against me I would have kicked you or tried too. Loved it!

I played for my primary school C team in central defence when I was approximately 6 years of age. I thought I had to stay on the corner of the D at all times. I have since learnt that this is not the case. I did not play another game.

In year 4 I bought Ryan Giggs' Soccer Skills through the school book club in another rare flirtation with the beautiful game. After one kickabout against the fairly uneven wall of my childhood home I decided that football wasn't for me.

My next appearance (beyond 5-a-side) was as goalkeeper for the (at the time) undefeated O21 team in their first ever game - the original U21 vs. O21 Foxestalk football match. I'd like to say I was instrumental in keeping it down to only 3 goals conceded but my main contribution was to poleaxe lildave3 and give a sly nod to standupandsing so he wouldn't award a penalty. Sadly, after that game, we were no longer undefeated.

Overall I'm sure we can agree that I have all the necessary credentials to comment about football on an Internet forum.

Talk a good game though...

like the lack of verticality in a double pivot as part of a gegenpressing system that doesn't effectively utilise the half spaces?

That's the one!! What about "name me one Arsenal player that would get in the Leicester team"...
