loAf Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 was woeful at school, place in team actually got taken by a girl at primary school. Kicked about at lunchtime periodically with Matt Nurse and Matt Piper at high school and during GCSEs, didnt play for 10 years, now play in and run a team in an 8 a side expat league here. Im a hell of a lot better than I was, but its taken a long time.

At Uni I played five a side with a guy who played for the Greek futsal team and employed a similar tactic. He'd put us about 5 goals up, sub himself off, and if we looked like we were in danger of losing he'd come back on and make it safe

Played once for a Lincolnshire village team on a brass monkey of a winters day. At one stage I headed this frozen rock of a ball. Otherwise I patrolled midfield ineffectively.

Got nutmegged by Ruben Zadkovich who signed for the sheep and played for Australia whilst he was playing for Bulli. Played at school with a few lads that played for Oldham from 2002-2005 and more recently played with an ex Coventry city guy from the same era. Now I turn like a steam train, couldn't skin a custard and have the ball skills of a lesbian.

But the subbuteo boxes held a secret, underneath I kept a few "nice" girlie pics ! My favourite at the time was Luan Peters who I saw (underage) at the pictures in The Flesh and Blood Show ... you may remember her as the Aussie girl in Fawlty Towers who Basil puts a black hand print on .... Happy days ..
