Guest LCFC_World Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Okazaki is too inconsistent, I just don't think he's any good against physical defences, it's certainly a result that's been coming, I've been very worried about playing sides with competent attacks, our "open" style is an invitation for good attackers to flood forward, we could end up getting whacked against anyone with decent forward lines. Surely Ranieri is smart enough to know we can't play every game in the same way? He isn't called the Non-Tinker man for no reason you know.
Guest Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Kanté outjumped is expected - that's a system problem. Simpson outjumped is expected - he's not that good. Positives We've looked great going forward down the wings - Fuchs especially making lots of chances - sadly we're not so good at putting them away. pressure up front is being countered today. I predicted 2:2 I'll stick with that

I agree with the comment about competent attacks, but I don't think we've been too "open" to be honest, they've been the better team by far, far more organised, our attacks have been a bit uncoordinated compared, The problem we have now is that we are forced to go all out to get this game back. That's when we can be punished, it will either be 2-2 or 5-0 now IMO.
iniesta Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Can't believe I support the same football club as some of you lot.
st albans fox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This defending the posts thing - always did it in my day but it seems to be out of fashion with zonal marking
Always Next Year Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 We need some new defenders and a better keeper to small and stands on his line to much.

Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Very poor first half. We can't defend set pieces and look poor all over the pitch first 45, CR needs to do some work now if we're gonna turn it around. We've gotta go for it and cause them problems, it took until the last minute for Schluup to have a run at them and that's more of what we need.
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 We looked shit vs Villa and Stoke and came back so I wouldn't rule it out.True. Can't see us not conceding again though to be honest mate
foxes21 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I think Claudio tells the team to play shit so he can tinker and save the day. What a man
MooseBreath Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Why is Okazaki getting so much stick when he has been much more lively than Vardy and we're losing courtesy of shit defending and an offside goal that he played no part in?

Dr The Singh Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 We've let ourselves down, other then set pieced, theres nothing in it
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Trying not to feel too disappointed as a didn't expect us to get anything today but it's the nature of the goals that frustrates me. Its basic stuff thats letting us down
AjcW Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I think Vardy is well and truly been Englanded! (I know that isn't a word)... looks to still be playing at the national team tempo!

cityfanlee23 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I'd like to see a 4-3-3 now, Vardy upfront on his own, Mahrez on, Albrighton or schlupp left wing.

Liveliness is no excuse for being wasteful and unfocused. Okazaki's poor run without a goal seems to continue. No idea why Ranieri is still including him in his starting XI.

Because goals are about the team unless you have an outstanding talent - which we don't - Okazaki is doing great work for the team just he's your Wellens at the moment.
Sampson Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Why is Okazaki getting so much stick when he has been much more lively than Vardy and we're losing courtesy of shit defending and an offside goal that he played no part in?Because he's not good enough and this isn't his first bad game of the season unlike Vardy? He's a step down from Nugent so far. He runs around a lot but does absolutely nothing with it, he does not offer the goal threat of Ulloa, the linking of midfield and attack of Nugent or the flair of Kramaric. I hope he improves but so far this season he's just been a glorified Iain Hume.

I think the defence have been ripped apart here too, Problem is Okazaki has been okay so far this season and he's worked hard, but he's just not scoring enough, and has been very weak (surprisingly weak actually) out of the 2 strikers, Vardy has done far more than Okazaki this season and should be kept on.
