Theres been some top humerous replies, but......

This aint a Golden era, still along way from being one. Full of potential and promise, but nothing yet ,that has been out of the

ordinary, or exceptional.

Finish not once but 2-4 times in the top 4.

Win the FA cup once or twice, qualify for Europe 3 seasons on the trot...then may be we could start thinking about

"Golden/Silver eras"

Look the path that took us and included our last 10yrs of our lowest level in our football history, is what it is, BUT...!!!

The slow recovery back to normality (and it is only normality) , is no grounds to believe we are in some period of a

Golden era.

FFS get real !!!!

Having said that, as others have pointed out (which I didn't think of for some reason) is the issue with the Pearson - Owners relationship.

Their hardly likely to rename a stand after him as they sacked him which I should of thought of really. It was just a suggestion but considering what others have said it makes sense that it probably wasn't the best suggestion.

Theyre hardly likely to name a stand after him because its a stupidly shit idea and we are all blatantly being tongue in cheek.

Re-write the club honours and programme, so every club record and trophy won was won by Pearson.

There's no chance of a Nigel Pearson stand nor do I see the slightest case for it. In terms of achievement he's not even close to our best. There are past managers, past players and even The Birch who'd merit recognition way ahead of him.

No one is seriously supporting the idea of renaming a stand after Nigel Pearson, the majority is simply taking the piss out of the one person who suggested it in the first place.

Despite his success with us and his influential managerial reign, having covered three different leagues during his tenure, the circumestances of Pearson's departure plus the lack of top tier silverware will prevent that from ever happening.

Personally, I'd prefer keeping a fond memory of the guy, his sportive achievements as well as his somewhat entertaining personality. I think we all should do.
