Thracian Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 The boys broke the law in Thailand so haven't got a leg to stand on. It wouldn't make any difference to Pearson snr's case anyway. People need to get over Pearson. He's gone, and Ranieri is a far superior manager. Things don't get much better than they are now for Leicester fans, try to enjoy it. Bit early to judge Ranieri but couldn't agree more about Pearson. I'm sick of hearing about him. It's like constantly regurgitating an iffy meal. Just when you think it's gone down for good it comes back up.

Wymsey Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 The Thai saga (over his son) wasn't the only issue Pearson had with the club.
ImBlue Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 The Thai saga (over his son) wasn't the only issue Pearson had with the club. It wasn't just the club Pearson had an issue with. He had issues with life itself the soul sucking, arrogant, ignorant bully.

ThaiFox Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 I don't fully understand this response. You said that Pearson Jr might have a chance at proving unfair dismissal. I said they broke laws, not the racism, but other laws and that leaves him without a leg to stand on. If you go around breaking laws on a club tour and get sacked for it you haven't got a hope in hell of claiming for unfair dismissal. My point was that IF James Pearson and the others were dismissed for gross misconduct BECAUSE of the racism shown in the video, he was punished unfairly if Vardy only got a fine for his casino rant. In employment law that would mean his employers had treated one employee differently and that could lead to an unfair dismissal claim. IF NP was also dismissed because he argued his son didn't show or make any racist comments and should not have been sacked, NP could then have a retrospect claim that he was unfairly sacked, because his son was unfairly dismissed. IF Hopper/Smith/Pearson were sacked for the sex act, then none of them would have a claim against the Vardy incident. Not that this has much to do with it, but bar girls out here are everywhere. They almost force themselves on you as you walk down the street. The owners must have been very aware that young virile footballers would fall into this trap. I've known men on their honeymoon go off with bar girls whilst their wives go shopping. I understood the hotel they were staying at was owned by our owners, so why were these girls even allowed to go in? Another point that could be brought up, as by allowing these girls to enter the hotel, it could be construed that it was part of the rewards of the tour for single men players. It is not uncommon in some Asian countries to 'reward' their employees in this way. It's all speculation anyway, we don't know why and never will. The only real winners in a case would be the lawyers!
The Doctor Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 They wouldn't have been sacked for the racism or misogyny though - what they said was unsavoury but the production and distribution of sex tapes is illegal in Thailand. The owners aren't stupid, they'll have seen that criminal activity makes for a watertight dismissal and the players will have officially been sacked for that.

The only real winners in a case would be the lawyers! I think it's a king power branded hotel but I doubt very much that they have operational responsibility. That will probably be outsourced to a professional hotel operating firm and they will assume all legal responsibilities. Even if it is ran by Top himself, most hotels allow guests, perhaps for a fee, and it would be impossible to make a legal case that the hotel should have known they were prostitutes and not let them in. They've got no legal case for unfair dismissal at all, unless the club lawyers messed up and failed to state the right reasons, which again I would think unlikely. The fact that none of the players have began legal proceedings says it all, the issue is dead and buried. Time to move on.
ozleicester Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Just a thought, but given his pick ups (and yes i know that Walsh was the main man) and his recognised man management skills/player relationships, maybe Pearson would be a better scout? Certainly would reduce the pressure to be the "media face" which is something he never seemed comfortable with.

The Railway Man Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 I'm pretty sure being involved at a successful premier league club is going to help their careers more than following Pearson back to the championship. You're also making no end of assumptions about what people you don't know will do in different situations. Most likely scenario in my opinion is that shakey and Walsh choose the successful premier league club rather than the struggling championship club that Pearson will likely find himself at. And even if they do choose the big step down, I think that would just show that their ambition doesn't match that of the club and them leaving will probably be for the best anyway. Agree with some of this but this club losing Steve Walsh would clearly be a disaster given he's the head of our scouting system which is clearly the main reason to our success.
weller54 Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Off to Forest then!!.. He'll have the necessary experience to get them out of league one!!

foxfanazer Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 If you don't love Pearson for what he did for us then you either have ridiculously unrealistic expectations or are just an ungrateful tit
Thracian Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 You told me you loved Pearson You told me you loved Pearson This is nothing to do with Pearson - it's to do with Leicester fans harping on about him. There was much I liked about Pearson's management but much I didn't like too. Which feeling came to the fore depended on the day.
hackneyfox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 If you don't love Pearson for what he did for us then you either have ridiculously unrealistic expectations or are just an ungrateful tit Box of tissues?
weller54 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Box of tissues? Wrong thread... See Rachel Riley!
BoyJones Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Full page piece on him in the Sunday Times today, nothing really new, but worth a read.
Leicester_Numan Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 He'd be daft to consider QPR or Forest if they sack Freedman, both clubs are a bit of a mess. I can see him going to Fulham though. Although they've still got the after effects of their relegation, I think it's less of a rebuild and probably less pressure too.

foxfanazer Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Don't think London would suit him to be honest. Think Boro or Derby would be perfect championship clubs for him. West Brom or Norwich in the prem
