enmac Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Nice to hear "fcuk the ira" so loudly on the radio. Watching MOTD, Mahrez looked just offside and Huth's challenge was a penalty Wrong! Not nice to hear! Just shows total ignorance of Irish politics. It really makes Leicester fans look like bigots and I don't want to support a club, whose fans think such behaviour is acceptable.Think about this: Leicester finish 4th(!) this season and we draw Celtic in a pre-qualifer for the CL., Do you want to go in a pub in Glasgow, where every regular wants to beat the crap out of you because of your "ignorance.?" I, for one, don't want to be in that situation, so please can you and your like stop this behaviour!
Countryfox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Watch MOTD2 tonight and then smash her back doors in fella Fookin good shout mate !!!! She's just cooking at the mo while I'm watching the Mexican Grand Prix ........ Little does she know whats coming ( ) her way later !!!
Babylon Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 When did this expectation that players would wear poppies on their shirts appear? I have no recollection of it all when I lived in England and went to games (70s to early 90s). I remember Remembrance Sunday as the day to reflect and show respect, but I am pretty sure that there were not Remembrance football fixtures. I have always thought of the poppies as a poignant symbol of the futility of the First World War and they don't seem at all well suited to the atmosphere at football matches, which is based on raw partisan emotion. Leicester started it years ago, so let's blame ourselves!

Was having a nice bit of banter about good moods and LCFC doing so well but can't ignore these other posts. You all need to chill. Peoples opinions are made largely on what they are told by their peer group and what they read in the papers ....... Don't criticise them but look beyond at the people who manipulate them and put these ideas in their heads. They are the real problem not those misguidedly singing at football matches.

Babylon Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 West Brom moaning about the "offside" goal. Watch Vardy when the ball comes in from Albrighton, he's onside and would have got to the cross if his shirt hadn't been pulled back on his way through. Sorry, they can't moan about that one.
Soar Fox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Spoke to a couple of West Brom fans in the pub afterwards and they were moaning about our time wasting and saying Schmeichel should have been sent off. I politely reminded them that from when they took the lead they were doing exactly the same thing. They conveniently forgot about their fans behind the goal refusing to give Kasper the ball back whilst they were cheering as it was getting thrown around amongst themselves.

We're up 1-0 in the 55th minute? Okay, I'm just going to smash the ball into the stands now. Whoops, my bad.

Divs. Seen a few saying similar. Reminds me of Southampton and Villa ole-ing us as well this season. Beautiful to watch.

I've never seen a team time waste in the first half before so actually anybody who says Pulis is a dinosaur is wrong, he's actually quite the innovator.Nothing annoys me more than time wasting, it's pathetic I know but I've paid £x (usually a lot) to watch a game of football not watch Craig Dawson dry the ball or watch Stephane Sessegnon crawl to the corner flag.
Thracian Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I abhor time wasting - even from our own side. I remember one particular game against Charlton when it cost us victory because the ball got nicked when we were pratting around instead of trying to score and they nicked an equaliser. As for West Brom - they got what they deserved which was sod all.
ChrisFilter Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The trouble is WW1 and WW2 are becoming distant memories and "Poppy Day" would probably die out without including later conflicts. On a personal note, I wear my poppy with pride, visit the war graves in France on a fairly reglar basis to pay my respects and have applied in the ballot for tickets for the memorial service at Thiepval Wood next July 1st. My grandparents and uncles/aunts fought in WW2 to ensure the freedoms we take for granted today. They wouldnt recognise the vinditive, PC world where only minorities have rights, that we now live in. I don't personally agree with McLean, but he is entitled to his opinion. He hasn't hurt anyone. Browbeating him and anyone else into wear a poppy insults the memories of my forebears who fought against exactly this type of mind control. This would have been a good post were it not for the nonsense about 'only minorities have rights'. Give me one example of a minority enjoying a right that you don't.

ChrisFilter Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I don't feel included during black history month The exclusive bastards. Still, we had our revenge by giving Ed ****ing Sheeran a bloody MOBO. No bigger cultural insult can I imagine. Shame on us.
Countryfox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Just had to say that for me Vardys goal was just fantastic and one of the best Leicester goals I've seen this season. It epitomises what this team is all about. The Baggies were attacking and then one loose pass is picked up by DD, one touch back to Kante, two touches back to DD, then that quick interchange and flick with Vardy before he is off. The finish was sublime. 10 seconds from when they gave the ball away its in the back of their net. 10 seconds !!!! They just opened them up like a kipper and no team could have stopped that. Fantastic ! Goal of the month for me without a shadow.
