ozleicester Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Remember when we used to care about this?
Dickov22 Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Thanks to Pearson sorting Sven's mess out, we don't need to anymore.
st albans fox Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Remember when we used to care about this? Does anyone know if we still need to? It must still exist in some format and if we actually have designs on Europe, we need to conform to it. Wasn't there a PL system aswell?
Vacamion Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Lots of other clubs have urinated on FFP more than we ever will. Look at what Liverpool and the Manchester clubs have spent. As for domestic FFP, the fact that QPR blew a giant raspberry at the Football League but returned as if nothing happened suggests that clubs can pretty much spend what they like and get away with it. It appears that we have nothing to worry about.
Ric Flair Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Thanks to Pearson sorting Sven's mess out, we don't need to anymore. Thanks to Sven for Nugent, Konchesky and Schmeichel who got us promoted so we don't have to worry about it anymore.

Bayfox Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 We best start caring again. After all, ranieri is taking us to Europe.
kingcarr21 Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Thanks to Sven for Nugent, Konchesky and Schmeichel who got us promoted so we don't have to worry about it anymore. I think the con's far outweigh the pro's
Webbo Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Some of you are so clueless if you don't realise the bloody mess Sven and Andrew Neville left this club in. Thank you for your expert input.
Ric Flair Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Some of you are so clueless if you don't realise the bloody mess Sven and Andrew Neville left this club in. It was a joke, I am firmly aware of how bad things got under that spell. John Paintsill, Michael Johnson, Michael Ball all on over £100,000 a week between them
Wilson_6 Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Some of you are so clueless if you don't realise the bloody mess Sven and Andrew Neville left this club in. Sven didnt leave us in a mess. It was the owners who allowed him to spend the cash.
Captain... Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Did anyone actually have to pay any fines in the end? Or suffer any sanctions?
Wymsey Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Did anyone actually have to pay any fines in the end? Or suffer any sanctions? Sanctions - Blackburn and Forest iirc.
Dickov22 Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Sven didnt leave us in a mess. It was the owners who allowed him to spend the cash. He chose the players that we then couldnt get rid of and werent good enough for us. He was a disaster
My Nads Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Did anyone actually have to pay any fines in the end? Or suffer any sanctions? I thought Man City had one less player available for the CL. It was a European stitch up to penalise English clubs. If Man City were punished with the amount of money they have generated/spent, then PSG should be as well. The French league doesn't pay out anywhere near as much as the PL, but over recent years they must have spent as much as any other club. I don't follow foreign football, but I've never heard FFP mentioned in regard to any non English club.
MooseBreath Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 I thought the accounts of us, QPR and Burnley were still under scrutiny but it has been a long time since we've heard anything. The whole thing seems to be on quite shakey ground but I doubt we'd need to worry given the TV money we're receiving now.
BoyJones Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 How have QPR got away with it? Didnt they threaten legal action. FFP may be morally sound in many ways, but goes against key european laws.

Guest Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Thanks to Pearson sorting Sven's mess out, we don't need to anymore. another chance to lick NFPs arris. Boom
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 13 November 2015 Posted 13 November 2015 My understanding is that it's been watered down significantly by UEFA and Platini over the last year, in exchange for our support of him becoming FIFA president.
