kushiro Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I saw this mentioned on the Guardian post match thread yesterday - Okazaki and Vardy doing a 'bowing' celebration after the third goal. I was too busy jumping around to notice anything at the time, but just watched the video and there was clearly something planned. After his goal, Shinji twice gestures to Vardy to come over and do some kind of pre-planned routine. Then - yes - they do what looks like a quick bow to each other. If that's what it was, it's a great way to put the lid on the casino story once and for all. I'm presuming that was the intention - to make light of the whole issue just like Gazza 1996 (dentist's chair), Robbie Fowler (cocaine jibes) and Craig Bellamy (golf club row with Riise). Which other famous ones am I forgetting??

ithuriel Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Thought he played really well and always with a smile, took his goal well too.
NewquayFox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Just watched it again on MOTD and they both do have a little bow, The Mirror & The Sun will try and say that Vardy tried to nut Okazaki though...... Up the City....
dedlock Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Thought he played really well and always with a smile, took his goal well too. He took the goal very well, there was a bit of work to do after JV slipped the pass through.
Drew Peacock Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I didn't notice this as I was celebrating a little too much, being sat about 3 ft away from the Everton fans. Good spot and a great post.
ScouseFox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 was a great goal. great closing down, vardy was so calm and cool just to stab what he made look a simple pass through to shinji. great first touch meant he could ping off his shot before any defender could get near him. so happy.
Guest Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Was a great goal under control. Shame about the later stumble when he looked ready for his second. Ulloa was a little embarrasing in front of goal again.
Webbo Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Quite impressed with Vardy' s unselfishness. That's twice he's set up a colleague in 3 games when he could have had a go himself. Perfect lay offs too.

Mayofox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 The Sunday Indo lists Mahrez and Okazaki in their Team of the Day.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 The Klinsman dive! The Rooney knock out.
WinslowFox Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I'm sure Ginola took his shirt off to show his physique, as John Gregory Manager at the time labelled him fat and overweight, Aston Villa if I remember correctly
kushiro Posted 20 December 2015 Author Posted 20 December 2015 Just remembered another one - Jimmy Bullard's 'team talk' for Hull.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Okazaki loves playing away , West Ham, Newcastle and now Everton . in my best Andy Gray voice " You beauty !! , take bow son , take a bow !! "
davieG Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Who was it that was called too old and did a walking stick celebration.
Carl the Llama Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Who was it that was called too old and did a walking stick celebration. KP, what a legend.
Beliall Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Who was it that was called too old and did a walking stick celebration. Kevin Phillips
WesMorganGod Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Just rewatched it after reading this thread.. and yeah I seen it now, looks like something they do in Japan as a mark of respect. Never noticed it watching live.

Tincy Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Who was it that was called too old and did a walking stick celebration. Eto
urban.spaceman Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Shinji's smile when he scores is absolutely beautiful. And infectious. I hope he gets to do that more often!
fuchsntf Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 Just rewatched it after reading this thread.. and yeah I seen it now, looks like something they do in Japan as a mark of respect. Never noticed it watching live. Its a greeting and farewell, more than shaking hands. The angle of the bow is very important, and follows etiquette.
