Webbo Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Yes. Great. . I've got an LG one from Costco. 46". Are there any 4K programmes yet?
CharlieCharles Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Pointless as there is very few programmes in 4K, the only thing you can really use it for is 4k youtube videos.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Got an LG one couple of weeks ago, definitely a better difference in quality football is definitely better quality and old films look a lot clearer.
ajthefox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 4K is just another name to get people to buy slightly better TV's than the ones they've got. In a years time they'll be an 8k or some bollocks.

Rincewind Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 My TV cost less than £200. I would not pay 4k.for a TV
Collymore Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 My TV cost less than £200. I would not pay 2k. You wouldn't pay 2K for a 4K? What about 4k for an 8K? 480p for 480p?
Rincewind Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 You wouldn't pay 2K for a 4K? What about 4k for an 8K? 480p for 480p? Post edited for clarification.

21st Century Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 There's 4K pornography, that's all I need to know.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 There's 4K pornography, that's all I need to know. Link please. I'm still holding out hope for 3D porn. Although in some of the more extreme movies i'd be hiding behind the sofa for fear of something poking me in the face, or a stray fluid hitting me.
Webbo Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 My TV cost less than £200. I would not pay 4k.for a TV 4K is the resolution not the price, although they're not far off that at the minute.
DB11 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 My TV is 4K compatible but I don't think that I've experienced it yet
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 4K is the resolution not the price, although they're not far off that at the minute. Currys are selling 4k LG tv's 49" for around £650
Webbo Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Currys are selling 4k LG tv's 49" for around £650 Give it a year, it'll be half that.
MC Prussian Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Link please. I'm still holding out hope for 3D porn. Although in some of the more extreme movies i'd be hiding behind the sofa for fear of something poking me in the face, or a stray fluid hitting me. That'd be 4D porn you're talking about.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Some may find this useful. Nothing about 4k porn, sadly: http://www.techradar.com/news/television/ultra-hd-everything-you-need-to-know-about-4k-tv-1048954 On a big panel telly I think getting a 4k one is a no brainer as the bigger the screen the more obvious the advantage of the extra detail. You can get 40" 4k TVs now and the jury seems out on whether it's worth paying extra for it on one that size (which is pretty modest by modern standards) as at normal viewing distance you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference. I'd always suggest reading reviews and doing research before parting with your cash - just because a TV ticks the 4k box doesn't mean it's necessarily better than one that doesn't. A lot of factors affect picture quality and ultimately how good it is to watch
SystonFox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Give it a year, it'll be half that. 2k then
AKCJ Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 My TV cost less than £200. I would not pay 4k.for a TV Can we all take a moment to appreciate this post?
Rincewind Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 4K is the resolution not the price, although they're not far off that at the minute. OK my joke backfired badly. Topic title 4k TV. Can also mean.. Oh never mind.
