StanSP Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 As from the club website: http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/top-10-leicester-city-games-of-2015-2878523.aspx Wasn't expecting 0-0 vs Sunderland to make it but can understand why! Would have thought Vardy's record would be mentioned specifically in the 1-1 draw vs Utd but that misses out.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 For me there are five that are way above all the others: 5. Newcastle 0 Leicester 3 - 21st November 4. West Brom 2 Leicester 3 - 31st October 3. Swansea 0 Leicester 3 - 5th December 2. West Brom 2 Leicester 3 - 11th April 1. Leicester 2 Chelsea 1 - 14th December
NewEnglandFox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 I don't like that the Sunderland 0-0 is in there. I get that it was mathematical safety but we destroyed QPR in the final weekend and finished 6 points clear. That point doesn't mean much to me. I really liked the VIlla game last January because it was ridiculous that Konchesky scored the only goal and even more ridiculous that in the previous 6 games he was sent off twice and suspended the other 4. I do not recommend finding the highlights though. We should have won that game 5-0 but only managed the 1. Other than that I prefer last May's Newcastle game with Ulloa's 37 second goal to Vardy's record tying goal this season.
ScouseFox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 fair enough list. i'll give a top 5 of ones ive been at; 5) leicester 4-2 sunderland - sun shining, we were going to get relegated, in fact we might have already been relegated? then we showed the world what we already knew, riyad mahrez is the best player on the planet. 4) leicester 2-0 swansea - king and cambiasso absolutely donned it. great game, great atmosphere, the 5 mins or so from king's clincher to full time the whole ground seemed to have decided we were definitely staying up despite still being in the shit. 3) liverpool 2-2 leicester - we battered them from start to finish, got absolutely rinsed by the ref and still came back for a point. 2) leicester 5-1 qpr - cambiasso's goal nearly reduced me to tears. 1) leicester 2-1 chelsea - i don't care that they are technically in a relegation battle, this was a massive test to prove we can stick it to the "big boys". and we passed the test. two amazing goals, a great atmosphere in front of the cameras on a monday to go top of the league. been a bloody great year considering it started with home defeats to stoke and palace and scoring just one goal in home games vs hull, villa, palace & stoke.
lgfualol Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 My top 5 5 - Leicester 5 - 1 QPR - Least stressful game we've ever played. Was lovely. 4 - Leicester 2 - 1 Chelsea 3 - Leicester 2 - 1 West Ham 2 - Leicester 3 - 2 Villa 1 - West Brom 2 - 3 Leicester I love dem late goals
Koke Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 In no particular order. West Brom 2-3 Leicester (April). That's when we started to actually believe we could stay up. People forget we were actually 2-1 down in that game. We came back and won 3-2 and haven't looked back since. Leicester 3-2 Aston Villa. We showed a lot of bottle in that game and it started a trend of going down couple of goals only for us to come back and rescue points. Mahrez was phenomenal in that second half. West Brom 2-3 Leicester (October). Vardy's goal was sensational and is a bit underrated by other people. The way we went from our box to their box in 6 seconds with 4-5 touches and slick interchanges was phenomenal. Newcastle 0-3 Leicester. It was a toss up between this game and the Swansea one, but I picked this. It was an utter domination. One of the most one-sided away games I've seen in a long time by Leicester. Leicester 2-1 Chelsea. I don't care that they were in a slump. This was a big test for us. People treated us as flat track bullies and thought we would bottle it against the big clubs, but we won and Mahrez showed once again why he is a high quality player.

Completely disagree, the celebrations were incredible in the stand and outside.

steveherbe Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 First WBA away game in April, as the kids say, absolute scenes in the away end when Vardy got the winner. Never to be forgotten.
Fox92 Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Agree with WBA A from last season. The scenes in our end Ended up all over the place. What a day that was.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 My top 10 Leicester games in 2015 (not necessarily in order) Newcastle 0-3 Leicester A quality game for us, and it was very pleasing on that day all 3 strikers scored in Ulloa, Okazaki and Vardy. Swansea 0-3 Leicester We were class. I thought to myself especially after the 3rd goal we really do look a quality premier league side. Movement on the ball, pace, good finishing and some superb balls through to the attackers. Sunderland 0-0 Leicester The game we officially survived and the great escape was achieved. After the turnaround we had, we now knew we would be playing Premier League again. Leicester 4-2 Sunderland The sun shining. The anticipation of a new Premier League campaign. Ranieri's first game and what a first game it was. Overall superb performance with some lovely goals. Leicester 2-1 West Ham (Cup) We played fantastically well. Benalouane, Fuchs and Dodoo were great. Fair play to West Ham as their goal was very decent, but this game was one of my favourites as Andy King netted the winner. He's scored so many important goals for us over the years. West Brom 2-3 Leicester (Last Season) Great turnaround. A very important win in our great escape. Loved Vardy's winner when he went over to the away fans, nice finish on his left foot too. Leicester 5-1 QPR Another good performance and result. Heading into the game was more relaxing as both sides already knew their outcome of their seasons. A party atmosphere at the King Power though. Nice goals and an enjoyable game. Leicester 3-2 Aston Villa Outstanding comeback. Having come from behind after two superb villa goals, we showed courage, determination and belief to turn it around in a wonderful 3-2 win. The players and fans as one didn't give up and that faith payed off. Liverpool 2-2 Leicester 2-0 down at Anfield but we once again showed determination to come from behind to gain a point away from home. 2 very good strikes from both Nugent and Schlupp. Leicester 3-0 Newcastle 36 seconds in and Ulloa heads in at the near post from a corner, a great start. Then Wes is there shortly afterwards to give us a comfortable 2-0 lead going into HT. Into the second half and Ulloa bags his second of the match for it to finish 3-0 to us. A superb victory.
sdb Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 What a year. Just re-watched the 2014/15 season review - class!!! Imagine how good the next one could be...?!?!?! Too many to mention really, but the stand out moments of me completely losing my nut include Schlupp vs. Liverpool after the game's injustices, Vardy at WBA, King vs. West Ham and Swansea, Albrighton vs. Chelsea - even if we ended up losing, was the most crazy i've ever gone, the Sunderland game (hot day, new manager seems OK, we play great...mass relief), Vardy vs. Utd, Mahrez vs. Chelsea, and bossing games away at Newcastle and Swansea. Oh, and Cambiasso's goal vs. QPR I had to fight back the tears big time. Everything about that day was perfect and impossible to have imagined 6/7 weeks previous. Magical times. More of the same 2016 please!!!
theessexfox Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 I enjoyed the Spurs 1-2 Leicester FA Cup game too, love a last minute winner.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 I enjoyed the Spurs 1-2 Leicester FA Cup game too, love a last minute winner. I remember that. Scenes in the away end when Schlupp netted the winner were immense
Spudulike Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 Two moments for me.... Kingy's late goal against Swansea was the moment I knew we wouldn't get relegated. And Vardy's record breaker... witnessing history being made. Unforgettable.
Benguin Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 For me: 5: Leicester 5 - 1 QPR (Would have been higher if it mattered) 4: Leicester 3 - 0 Newcastle (This was the game that convinced everyone we were going to pull off the escape) 3: Leicester 2 - 1 Chelsea (Brilliant performance, super exciting goals, great game!) 2: Swansea 0 - 3 Leicester (Fvck you all, we are massive, now start to believe it the way we do!) 1. Leicester 3 - 2 Villa. (Tbf most of the game was pretty poor, but the last 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!)
TheSomersetFox Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 The 5 that stick out for me: Both WBA aways this year. Vardy's goals in each are probably 2 of my favourite City goals of all time. 2 brilliant days. 2 - 0 vs Swansea, amazing atmosphere that day. 2 - 1 vs Chelsea 0 - 1 vs Burnley, the game was pretty shite but everything else about the day was brilliant. - Edit - when Nige came over to us at the end
