MPH Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Byram isn't a right back he is a CM he is a good player but don't know where he would fit in and not sure if he is better than what we already have He is most definitely a RB. He however is being played on the right of a 3 man central midfield. Much better at RB though. Of course you go where your boss says. He's like the opposite of Schlupp who is a natural wide left player but can cover in defense when needed and do an adequate job there...
bald reynard Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Everton set to offer Leeds 3M.... Why - they've got Coleman ? There's no way Byram will get a place in the side ahead of him. We can pretty much offer a regular right back place - unless he is worse than Simpson or de Laet !

We should have a go great potential and current ability

We can pretty much offer a regular right back place - unless he is worse than Simpson or de Laet ! I'm not convinced he's any better than either of them at the moment! Simpson has had a good season so far and De Laet is a capable backup. I'm sure he will be an excellent player after a couple of premier league seasons but if he's looking for an automatic start I really don't think he'd get it with us!

The words capable De Leat and backup should not be used in the same sentence. Byram is good and could be a future England International
Wymsey Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Cellino will probably demand a ridiculous transfer fee if interested.
TJB-fox Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 De Laet is awful, watch the first half of the spurs fa cup game. Our right side was getting torn apart especially with Dyers poor positioning

1972 Fox Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 We were saying the same about Liam Moore 18 months ago... Yes I'm not sure he's capable back up either!
foxoffderby Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 We were saying the same about Liam Moore 18 months ago... Mate nobody has mentioned Moore, But de Leat get real he his pants
gurru991 Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Spurs ripped our right side apart in the cup. Simpson is adequate only & DeLaet is iffy at best. We need to build for the future & Byram would do that

We need to build for the future & Byram would do that We've just kept clean sheets against Man U man city Bournemouth and Spurs yet you still refuse to see that Simpson is a decent defender, since him and Fuchs have came in we've looked solid and I can't really remember him having a bad game since, his only downside is he doesn't offer anything going forward but again that works in our favour as it gives Mahrez a bit more freedom

dbtcity Posted 14 January 2016 Author Posted 14 January 2016 I'm sure Man u scored pal Good point .... Still though he was solid
STUHILL Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Rate Byram very highly and would offer more attacking threat than Simpson athough no one can argue that Simpson has been superb of late. This is something I would look to do in the summer with moving De Laet out and bringing in someone like Bryam to add quality to that RB position and compete with Danny for the place and be used when we want to have a more attacking threat. Bring him in and a top CB and I would be happy with our defence for next season, as long as Schlupp continues to develop as an able LB to cover Fuchs.
NewquayFox Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Leeds have accepted an offer from Everton apparently, not confirmed yet though.... Up the City.....
dbtcity Posted 14 January 2016 Author Posted 14 January 2016 Pointless move for him really as he's not going to replace Coleman
kyleolly Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Pointless move for him really as he's not going to replace ColemanHe's a replacement for Coleman we are signing him for £23m
Danno Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 he probably will coleman has been doggo for about a year now
CharlieCharles Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Leeds United accept £3.7m bid for Sam Byram from Everton crazy.
americanfox Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Leeds United accept £3.7m bid for Sam Byram from Everton crazy. If it's only that much, gotta put in a bid, right?
ousefox Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 He'll be ahead of Coleman by next season and will be in the England squad soon, no doubt about it. It'll be great to see him in the prem
