Spurs AWAY FA Cup Third Round match thread

It's not the absence of Kramaric as much as it is the set up - Kings goal threat from the sven seasons has all but evaporated, Ulloa is utter turd as a lone striker (and has been woefully out of sorts of late), none of the defence, Inler or Kante offer much of a goal threat... Looking at that side, where are the goals going to come from?

To be fair to the turd at least with a turd there would be a reasonable chance of the ball sticking to it.

Ulloa's not going to get any better without a run of games. We saw in two brief flashes last season that he can be a very competent poacher for a bottom half premier league team. For a club at our stage of development, Ulloa on top form is still a good option for us as an occasional starter and backup - he's not going to demand to start every game for a top 6 (or even 12) side.

It's just a shame that he's only played well in about 5 games in the last 16 months, which is why I struggle to understand the clamour from some for him to be a regular starter for us, even with the limited options at our disposal otherwise.

With king behind the striker helping the mid field when we haven't  got the ball and arriving late in the box when we have through our wingers.

I really hope Leo scores a couple to shut everyone up lol good to see its a mixed Spurs side too!

Clear reserves team but pleased to be seeing Chilwell, Inler, Gray, Weso and Benny.

At least King's in a three-man central midfield and proper width, although quite how Dyer retained his place I can't imagine but I do wish him luck and trust he's got some proper studs this week.

I've long argued that King is best coming as a late attacker behind a centre-forward and a full-range of close-passing options around him so the opportunity's there for him today to show he's still sharp enough to use those strengths.

In fact, there's passing in the side and a central target in Ulloa who can lay the ball off when at his best.

I'd love Wasyl to score - made by Gray with King and Ulloa making the space. Then Kingy to score the winner with the calmest, cleverest finish from a frantic melee created by the magic of Gray.

Okay, okay what's wrong with dreaming.......football's all about the unexpected and if Oxford can beat Swansea you never know.

Looking forward to seeing Gray and Chilwell.

Plus it's about time Wasyl got his own 2 hour slot on Sunday afternoon free-to-air TV.

Hence the question mark. But let's be honest, that's what it's most likely about.

What team were people expecting then? Because any idiot knew Vardy and Mahrez wouldn't play.

The bumming and crying over Kramaric is pathetic.

lol

who's been anything over than hopeful he'd be given a chance after seeing 2 fairly impotent strikers up top for us for the last month or so?

Agreed - hence why playing him like this is just a waste of time, he's not a heskey type who can keep the ball up there and force something, he needs to find support up alongside him putting it into the area for him to prey on. But we've also seen Kramaric can't play as a lone striker and while we've not seen Shinji try it, I'm fairly certain he wouldn't be able to do it on account of him being so light-weight.

Really we need to either be playing a two striker formation or find someone who can play the lone forward. Playing a one striker formation with any of the three available today is just asking to negate any threat they offer.

Inler as the midfield general, Bambi Dyer on the wing and Ulloa up front what can possibly go wrong? on a serious note really looking forward to seeing Chilwell and Gray today.

Ulloa was our top scorer last season, playing 2/3rds of the season in a relegation team.

Why the negativity, when he is playing with 2 wingers?

One thing this season has taught us is have faith in CR and the coaching team.
