foxes21 Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Striker!!! Imagine if Vardy taught him a thing or two. Would be pretty deadly!!
Grewks Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 people seem to forget hes only 23....and can cover 3 positions.
chicagofox Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Jeff is an outstanding asset for us, we have missed him hugely in recent weeks. Anyone who thinks he can be discarded now is nothing short of an idiot. There's a reason why the players themselves voted him as player of the season. Very well said. You are 100% correct.
ozleicester Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I like Jeff, but i think his role with us could well be as an impact sub and squad player. He is wonderfully talented and has the flexibility to play anywhere along the left side so can be invaluable to us coming off the bench.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Have you recently become a Leicester fan or have you always been a twat? He fits on the left side or up front, he's improved at defending whilst being in the Prem, pressurises players to fit in out style, has a good attitude and is a part of our teams charisma. Young, fast, pops up with goals, doesnt do alot wrong. Support Leicester City players please, I dont know why some people need telling I am not sure why you are calling someone a twat, for asking the question where Schlupp fits in now we have two seemingly better options in the squad in the two positions Jeff has been housed - namely Gray on the wing, and Chilwell at left back? Not to mention Fuchs, Majrez Albrighton all being ahead of him. This is a Forum for discussion you understand, where others may agree or disagree with your to your summary of Jeffs abilities? I question do his attitude/effort, I don't think he's improved enough as a defender, and I do think he does plenty wrong. Granted he runs fast, and can occupy the opposition at times, but imo, that's just not enough at this level. Obviously I don't don't rate Schlupp as a player, but seeing as I don't tell him that to his face I fail to see how that affects him or our team - unless he uses a "nome de plume" on here, in which case he should know better.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 When fit, Schlupp would play over Dyer for me any day of the week. He's far more dangerous (and unpredictable ). Schlupp is a great utility man really.

I didnt outright call him a twat, I asked if he was one. Thats someones own determination if they want to be. Schlupp came through the youth ranks and has been a regular with us in three seasons, has over one hundred appearances for the club with nearly half of them in the Premier League. They have to be considered successful and he has to be at least respected for being a part of that. I dont see why you would question his attitude, he tries every match he plays and I do think he has improved his defensive qualities over the years - case in point Championship Playoffs season where he covered for left back every now and again he did look frail where teams regularly did try to exploit him, epitomised in the playoff games against Watford. He has improved since then and hes further improved through out Promo year and staying up last season. This campaign he's been a regular when fit (I dont know if this is where you are questioning attitude? [your fault for that muscle twinge Jeff lad]) Im not being drawn into saying anyone else is useless at his expense because that is pathetic too. They dont deserve it, our players have different qualities in those positions, I have sod all sayin in who starts. If Chilwell impresses Ranieri more than Schlupp and Fuchs in training and starts Premier League games I will support that.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Qualified plumber and electrician? I dunno about qualified, but he'd give it a go
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I dunno about qualified, but he'd give it a go Same as his football then..
filbertway Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Haha, could definitely see Schlupp jamming a knife into a socket and having a shocked/confused look on his face as the electricity courses through his body.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Shabadoo...Make an old man happy and start a Schlupp doing different jobs thread... Hahahahahaha. ...
Bamba's Babes Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Don't see where he fits in, doesn't offer enough.
Len Finsbury Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Seeing as he's dropping down the pecking order on the wing and he isn't defensively sound enough to be considered a genuine threat to Fuchs and after last night, to Chillwell, I quite like the idea of him deployed as a striker. He started out as one, I believe, he has loads of pace, he's young enough to develop into what we need and has Vardy as someone to emulate. If he isn't prepared to develop his game in the way we want him to, then let him leave.

Wing is crying out for another Mahrez (Carrillo), when dyer goes. Chilwell is a great understudy for Fuchs.. So why not try him upfront as you say.
bobtickle Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 What the **** are you going on about he's been injured, that's it. How is he falling down the pecking order? He's a quality player and just turned 23. Don't understand why he's being questioned.

Dan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Winger all day long. Not got the brain or positional sense to be a left back and not got the composure or technique to be a forward.
lgfualol Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I can imagine handy man schlupp eventually being on Watchdog or Cowboy Builders
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I can imagine handy man schlupp eventually being on Watchdog or Cowboy Builders When Mark Allwright confronts him on Watchdog he'd think he's won a prize
dylanlegend Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 He's a great player to being on with 20 minutes to go. Pace to burn, hence why teams like Arsenal have been after him. Some on here have a short memory.
filbertway Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Just found his business card Brilliant. I can see him eventually dropping down the leagues and being the type of player that could flit between top league one clubs and lower tier premier league clubs.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Winger all day long. Not got the brain or positional sense to be a left back and not got the composure or technique to be a forward. Spot on. Get him 1 vs 1 with the full backs, blast past them to the by-line, pull it back to the edge of the box. Kingy bags. Rinse. Repeat.
