If he's a t premier league club and premier league clubs want to buy him it kinda suggests that he is premier league quality.

Not sure that's how it works Webbo. If we tried to sign Hull's reserve keeper that doesn't automatically mean he's PL quality.

Can't see it he'll be a decent left back in the future if that's what they use him for.

Can't see Allardyce paying 9m for a back up left back. He clearly thinks Jeff is good enough and he knows the prem inside out.

So you're saying he couldn't be a regular starter at any championship team? Newcastle aside I bet he'd start at any championship club. When used effectively he is a half decent player

Hopefully we will find out post January if it is just us holding him back. I think the problem isn't his "level" it is his ability to maintain any type of consistency which is why I don't think he will ever be a "regular"

True. Think it certainly can't help that he isn't playing week in week out here

He's played 60 premier league games, that makes him a premier league player. Other premier league players want to buy him so they must think he's good enough to play in the premier league.

Crystal Palace's head scout...

Might explain their bid?

Really?

Yes.

Fuchs and Chilwell are clearly more well rounded and suited to playing 90mins under specific orders from Ranieri.

Schluup hasn't got that attention span for what Claudio wants from our defence, but if Pochettino can make a great attacking full back out of Kyle Walker, and Conte the same with Victor Moses, then there is easily a place for Schluup if a manager wants to utilise him in a similar way.

Now is the time that Jeff should go.  His opportunities in the first team are limited to say the least.

Some of the stick he gets on here is a bit harsh.  On his day he is unplayable.  He is big, strong, quick and has great fitness levels but I have never known a player that can be so good and then so, so bad in the space of a few minutes!

We (and he) don't know his best position.  Is he a defender? No, not really.  Is he an attacker?  Hmm, maybe but a little inconsistent.  Wing-back?  Probably his best position but not really compatible with our sytstem.  If he leaves and his new manager figures out what to do with him then there is no reason why he can't go on and be successful.

Good luck to him, I really hope it works out for him.

Now I will throw my 2 pence in...

Unlike you spitefull trolling critics of J.Schlupp, he has achieved his career's highest level.

You lot of bongos and non achievers have reached the hights of  paying to watch him from the terraces.

Theres no comparison...

Hes been far more clever, than that dozo you lot see everyday in the reflection.....:P

are we not selling as we need him to meet the home-grown criteria when submitting our squad for the champions league?

we fall well in with the numbers in that respect
